Many appreciate the router's reliable coverage and its suitability for streaming. The storm in TN destroyed my router and I needed one ASAP for work. I tried both Amazon and Walmart but couldn't get anything for about a week. I went online to Best Buy and purchased this router and it was ready to pick up in an hour. I drove up in front of Best Buy and they brought the item and put it in my car. I went home and was able to set it up right away and got back to work. This router is much stronger than my other one. Thank you for the excellent customer service!

I live on a two floors house and receive signal even on my patio. I dropped 1 star because you can't sync router thru nighthawk app, you have to use netgear genie

    Netgear dual band

It is not plug and play. After have to create thee different passwords at different points for three different parts of the set up, it is time consuming. Then when the internet fell off I needed to take about and hour to figure out how to get it back up and running. Also, at first I had selected one band but it kept trying to push me over to the 5G of which I do not want to operate. Works fine, nothing stellar to report. Just give yourself a solid hour and write all the passwords and to what part of the set up they are for.

No sign it's signal is better than cable company provided router. Signal does seem to be more consistent after the first couple of weeks.

I don't usually put 150 bucks towards a wireless router. But I have to say they are certainly more capable. Better signal coverage/strength. Faster link speed.

A Nighthawk on a budget!! After swapping to my own personal cable modem (Netgear CM700), and finally upgrading my router. There has been a HUGE difference in our internet performance lan and WiFi. It still use the standard netgear router interface, but with some minor upgrades and quality of life improvements. Being able to edit wireless device profile both name and icon is a huge welcome, and able to identify unwelcome devices easily.

Upon recommendation of Best Buy salesperson, I chose this router over a number of others on the shelf. Setup was easy, no problems for someone with moderate networking experience.
