I was later sorry that I listened because the system crashed completely and I was without service for 2 weeks which seemed like an eternity.

Replacement router

Replaced with this router that functions similarly, but doesn’t seem to be quite as speedy ( but was in stock). Sometimes the netgear app has trouble connecting, esp. if it requires outside Ethernet connection to work.
