Product working ok so far. Terrible experience with trying to install. The app Netgear wanted me to download did not work and so I had to go through a lengthy process and time to get to customer service to get help. A one document with install options in the package would have been a great benefit! The product costs a lot of money and I would think Netgear could afford to include one piece of paper instead of forcing me to have to go to their web site.

This router never worked great. We had to reset it constantly. If we had more than 2 devices attached to either of the networks, it slowed it down immensely. I’ve seen other reviews about this product saying it’s one of the best routers, so maybe this one was defective. Either way, I will never buy this again. We’ve had it less than 3 years and it just died for good (water spilled on it).

5G never worked properly and it completely died in 14 months. Immediately after setting up the router we had some devices in the house that were unstable on the 5G which I thought was just a range issue, so we just used the 2.4G. After a couple months I noticed the 5G no longer appearing as an option on any of our devices which seemed odd. Recently we started experiencing internet dropouts and extremely slow speeds (<2mbps). Performed a hard reset and 5G is still not discoverable on any device and internet speed is erratic. We have a desktop that is hard wired to this router that sees 200+ mbps while the wireless issues are occurring meaning the wireless portion is junk . It sort of made it a year and we should have bailed long before it totally failed. The positive reviews lead me to believe I got a dud, but we will be switching brands.

Smart Router with super easy set up

I was looking for a router that would give a better experience with multiple devices streaming WIFI simultaneously. I followed the instructions in the box and had the system up and running in about 10 minutes. I'm definitely not technically inclined and I've never attempted to hook up a router previously. I immediately noticed a huge increase in speed when downloading files to my computer and opening videos. I hooked up my WIFI TV to watch Netflix and Hulu. The programs open up much faster, with far less buffering and the connection does not drop unexpectedly. We have tested multiple WIFI devices operating at the same time and have encountered no problems with speed or reliability. I downloaded the NETGEAR Genie App and it's very user friendly. I used it to set up Parental controls for any device that receives signal from the router. I was able to plug in a USB stick into the port and instantly view the pictures and files wirelessly on my device. I received this router from NETGEAR as part of a review and test program. Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a quality router.

Using this for it's WRT capabilities. It does require reboots often, but I'm using it in a weird manner to capture an existing wifi connection and bridge it out to it's own network.

This is a very good router for home with only one or two floors. If you have three or more floors you will need a stronger router or the router will need to be on the middle floor.

Honestly, it's hard to really say very much about this router. I'm using AT&T equipment and added this to help increase download speeds. It does seem to help speed things up though.

I purchased this router last month and it suddenly quit working. Tried returning it to the store in the box and with the receipt. I was told that I would need to contact Netgear directly. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with someone from Netgear that I could only understand about every fifth word. I had to provide the serial number five times because this person did not understand English. It was the most challenging service call that I have ever encountered. The worker said they would try and trouble shoot the problem from what I could understand. I was asked to unplug and plug in the router multiple times to no avail. I finally decided this was a complete waste of time. I can't believe that Netgear does not stand behind their product and that I am expected to understand the Arabic dialect or language. I finally decided to give up because I was getting no where. I will be buying another router, obviously a different brand, and not from Best Buy.
