Very fast connectivity speeds easy user interface and good price

If you are looking for a router that will travel all over your home....this isn't the router for you. I live in a home and it has five bedroom that are upstairs and then a big living room, kitchen, basement and dining room. The router was place in the living room, which allowed me to travel to the kitchen but when I would start to go upstairs or down stairs the signal started to weaken. Once I was completely upstairs it would cut in and out. So for me it was aggravating because I thought it would allow me to use it all around the home. The set up for the machine wasn't too hard since it came with instructions. I couldn't get my router to work wirelessly in the beginning but I did plug it into my computer and took that route to get it up and going. (FYI if you have to go this route having a MaC computer will be difficult since it doesn't have a place to plug the E-internet cord.) I would only recommend to a friend once I disclosed the router needing an extender to reach all around the home.

I only have an 1,800 square foot home, and I do stream content on various smart TV's or things like Roku/Fire TV/etc. From the room the router is in to the next room, the signal degraded significantly. I used Netgear's Wifi Analytics app, and the signal strength went from 100% in the same room down to 70% in the next room. Various content I was streaming in the next room would either cut out or would freeze up due to these dips. This might be good for smaller homes, or for people who don't stream as much, but I have 4 TV's that might be streaming at the same time two computers, three tablets, and three phones connected to this network, and this one just did not work. Nothing against Netgear though, because I exchanged this one for a better Netgear router with a faster speed and longer range.

Modem is great, but there are occasions where it may lag for whatever reason. Our internet service is already at super fast speed, so I don't see any reason why there is the occasional slow down. For the price, I expected this modem to perform amazing, but it performs okay. It serves it's purpose.

Easy to install. Good guidance from Net Gear and Spectrum.

So nice to have the dual band feature - set up is easy.

Strong signal includes 5g. Strong stable connection. Use daily, always on.
