Light years ahead vs standard router from provider

Watching Hulu or Amazon nearly impossible if not close to our router in our nearly 5k square foot home. Now we have nearly flawless viewing capabilities from anywhere in our home with use of the extender.

Good but not as extender

The Support folks seem to be confused about whether it would work is if I wanted it to or not, And they finally recommended that I return it.
