Customers consistently note the N300 Wireless-N Repeater and Range Extender's ease of setup and excellent range, praising its performance and affordability. However, some users experienced connection issues and inconsistent signal strength, impacting their overall satisfaction. The presence of Ethernet ports was also a frequently cited advantage.

Needed a wireless extender to use in a home office. I already had a Netgear Cable Modem/Wireless Router (C3000-100NAS) and figured this Netgear Extender would work seamlessly.
The initial setup was extremely easy as it detected my modem and synced with it immediately. Extending my wifi signal was accomplished in minutes.
The big issue is the inconsistent performance. I have had to power cycle and reboot this extender numerous times as the extender would intermittently go down. To alleviate the number of outages I have taken my laptop off the wifi network and connected it to a wired connection to the extender. Yet still, every once in a while I still need a reboot. At least the initial programming has been resilient and I have not had to reconfigure the extender.

I was looking for a 2nd ranger extender and this work. I used it to test my wifi router. The router works and this extender works too. My previous range extender was an ac and needed to be set to n in order to reduce interference. I would recommend this extender for a small home.

works great
Just be aware, it creates a 2nd wifi network in your home.
You will have your original wifi network
and then a 2nd one with he same name that ends in "_EXT", which is usually no big deal, but some applications for sharing assume you're on the same wifi.

Poor Connectivity for Gaming

The product had a horrible installation setup. It took me 45 minutes over the phone with a Netgear representative. After getting it setup, I had a great connection that was short lived 24 hours later. The connection jumps constantly from 15-20mbps, to 0-5mbps. Which in online gaming means horrific lag issues. It will not fix anything. The extender was 15 feet from the wifi receiver, while at the same time the wifi extender was hard wired to my PS4 using a long Ethernet Cat6 cable. And still, it didn't improve anything. If you want to improve your internet connection, your best bet would be to use a 100ft Ethernet cable and a Ethernet Device that allows up to 5-10 hard wired devices.

I was looking for something I could use as a Ethernet Hook with WIFI ability because the computer I have doesn't have Wi-Fi. This worked great and allowed me to have my computer on a different floor than my Wi-Fi. This is also a great Wi-Fi extender.

The upper far side of my house was lacking wifi access. It is the farthest from my wifi router. I got this item expecting it to boost the signal. Oddly, my wireless devices indicated that there was increased signal however the speed of the connection was EXTREMELY slow if not at complete stand still, where the only way to get things going again was to disconnect from this access point and force the connection back to my original network router. I returned this extender. I will seek out either a stronger wifi router first. If that doesnt resolve the dead spots then I'll go with a better wifi range extender.

Wi-fi was spotty in a couple rooms in our house. Best Buy staff was very helpful in picking out a product to meet my needs. Product was priced reasonably, easy to set up, and gets the job done. Happy Customer!

The Netgear N300 repeater/range extender has worked well in our home. It was a little bit difficult to set up and mate to our wireless router, but we eventually figured it out and it works great now.

I am returning this because it didn't really give me any boost whatsoever. I live in a 600 sq ft apartment and my second-from-best Motorola modem won't reach my living room. It's probably not this extender's fault, but it didn't help one bit.

I bought two of these extenders, one for the first floor and one for the third floor of our house.
Our house is big and the internet router is on the second floor.
Set up was easy, though the second router caused a little confusion but the customer service was excellent and it turns out the name of each extender just needs to be different. The confusion comes because the default name for each router comes up the same. A simple change of even one letter or number does the trick.
These extenders work very well and give wifi servide all around the house, including wifi calling that allows cell calls in parts of the house where cell coverage is poor.

This wifi signal extender works well in extending the signals, but sometimes after a few weeks or so, the extender has to be reset as it loses connection. But, overall I am satisfied.

This part of technology does exactly what we needed. We use a Verizon mobile Internet device and we connectet it with the Netgear and we can plug in our IP Phone to it which works perfect.
