A: MY PERCEPTION IS IT IS AN 'AMPLIFIER', THAT IS TO MAKE STRONGER A WI FI SIGNAL THAT IS ALREADY 'IN THE AIR'. EXAMPLE, A ROUTER ON MY SECOND FLOOR WHOSE SIGNAL BOOST NEEDS TO BE MADE STRONGER.BY THIS WN2000RPT., WHICH IS ON THE FIRST FLOOR WHERE THE TV IS. IT DOES THAT. IT IS A SIGNAL BOOSTER. WORKS FINE.
Q: will this work with fios and is it COMPLETELY wireless
A: Yes it's completely wireless. Mine's connected by wifi to my Netgear AC1200 router and it works great. Very easy to set up. Your other devices (smart tv, stereo, etc) can connect to the extender either by wifi or one of its four ethernet ports.
