Customers consistently note the N300 Wireless-N Repeater and Range Extender's ease of setup and excellent range, praising its performance and affordability. However, some users experienced connection issues and inconsistent signal strength, impacting their overall satisfaction. The presence of Ethernet ports was also a frequently cited advantage.

Purchased this item to use it as a Wi-Fi extender. Took only 15 minutes from opening the box to using it to connect to internet, setup was a breeze. Did move it to a couple different locations to get the strongest connection from the source and repeated coverage. Unit just added a "_EXT" tag to our existing Wi-Fi SSID and used the same pass code. The unit has been in service now for over a month and has performed flawlessly.

The Range extender came with 4 ethernet ports which was definitely helpful. we used it in our office to extend the wireless range and to connect wired devices at the same time. the device is very easy to configure and was used with another Netgear router. The range is solid and the speed for both wired and wireless devices connected to it is rock solid as well.

The product is good, but sometimes it may lose signal with my Verizon router(mainly because it's in my basement). The product was a very easy set up with my Verizon router with the use of the WPS feature.

I needed to extend our WiFi beyond our house to a spare room in the backyard. I placed the Netgear Wifi Range extender in the garage on a shelf. It's perfect! The garage is an equal distance form the house to the spare room. It sure saves on Gb when the kids use their phones. Call your Netgear Tech guy if you have issues installing. Instructions are easy as pie.

I needed to boost the coverage of my wireless to a distant part of my residence and purchased this extender in hopes it would improve my reception. I was having trouble getting adequate wireless signal for my Netflix. This extender worked we for this purpose.

I had a N3000 V1 extender and it would always lose connection with my wireless FIOS router. Tried multiple times over several months to update the s/w but was not successful even after reading many threads on the internet. Bought a new one with V3 s/w and now it works like magic. So frustrating that I couldn't get the new s/w on the older unit.

This unit was easy to set up and worked just as promised. Our cable modem is in the basement so the signal was very week in our office on the second floor. Now we get 5 bars on a regular basis and no communication problems.

I set this up in the last room of my house that seemed to get no wireless signal. It is easy to setup and does what it is supposed to. When you set it up you have to reconnect your internet device to the range extenders wireless network (whatever you name the wireless signal). After that everything works fine.

Purchased this to deal with a WiFi dead zone in my parent's house. I also wanted a range extender that had physical network ports so that I could plug in directly if I needed to -- making the Netgear N300 a good choice for what I needed. The setup on this unit is not too complex -- you just need to take your time when doing so. Once the unit is set up, also make sure that it is updated with the latest firmware. Performance wise the N300 does well and it eliminated connectivity issues on devices like smart TVs, for instance. The only thing that I did not like is the companion app (iOS/Android) which can be downloaded from app stores. The app is useful in analizing WiFi issues, however, IMO it asks for too much personal information. Other than that, I am pleased with the purchase.

I bought this extender so that I could get wifi in my front yard, driveway, & a stronger signal in my carport since my garage door opener can be controlled over wifi.
Easy to set up, & really works!!

Great price. the first one I bought was easy and took less that 5 minutes to set up. I saw reviews of people having two of these. Thought that would be useful for the other side of the house. Not sure of what I did on the second one but it didn't go smooth and screwed up the first one too. Going to try and reset them and start over. one was easy to set up, not so much on two. Hope I don't have to call their support as that's always a pain. this review is mostly negative, however had I only bought one, it was a positive experience.
