Keeps dropping the connection

The instances of video ‘freezing’ are nonexistent now. The problem is the modem/router has to be disconnected and rebooted much too often. The ISP has come out several times and attempted numerous fixes. The previous modem/router was a much cheaper model that never dropped the connection. Somewhat disappointed!

I put it on the middle floor thinking it would give me the best coverage. While I am able to access the internet almost a block away, I have less than great coverage on the 1st floor. The concern would be that putting it there would limit coverage further as my first floor is semi underground.
