My experience with this adapter is mediocre at best. On the plus side it has an extension cord enabling best reception placement. Otherwise, in my application it made no difference in performance and the wfi reception rates were always highly varible. The "extending antenna" made no difference in reception speed, regardless of tested 360 degree rotation, several different placements or angle of antenna. Windows 10/11 will not find the correct driver for this device and you must use the included USB flash drive (120Mb) driver installation. On a scale of 10, I rate this a 5, therefore I was disappointed. I am a 20 year network professional.

Small size. Setup was a breeze — I downloaded the package from netgear. Download speed was disappointing, around 225 mbps whereas I was getting 400+ from previous adapter. A magnetic base would’ve been nice. A bit expensive give its speed. Did not experience dropped signals so far

Must get for someone who doesn’t get any signal in their dorm. I had 1 - 2 bars MAX in my room now that I plugged this into my PC the wifi instantly MAXED out. Highly recommend! Best purchase ever made

much better wifi signal compared to the wifi baked into my desktop mainboard. a little pricy .. but the performance is great and totally worth it. using on second floor with wireless node on first floor.

Bought for my 15 y/o gamer son who absolutely LOVES THIS DEVICE!! He no longer glitches and I no longer have to hear him scream at his computer!! Def would recommed for gaming systems.

Works good. Works much better with open-source Linux drivers FYI. On Windows some USB ports don't work but on Linux everything works. The Windows driver installer is also annoying and doesn't ship with .inf files

Got this for traveling as we tend to have weak wifi and this little thing has been fantastic. It not part of my carry on bag and really helps out with picking up stronger wifi

Works well at home and at a hotel conference room. Appears to have a strong signal. No interruptions. Not an expert to know if it can perform better, but works for me.

Bought this to have access to wifi6 on an older desktop pc , on our new home WiFi router. Worked like a charm, as expected.

Add an extra wifi connection with a more stable network, if you have problems with a weak signal this will definitely work.

I like the fact I dont need a cable to my computer but, the range is terrible or the connection to the device is bad. I play Call of duty and my connection has been terrible a lot of packet loss dropped connection. Sometimes i turn on my computer the device does not turn on have to disconnect and reconnect a fee times to make it work for the price 3 star really should be 2 for the range

Does have some problems every now and then but if it’s just used for casual use should do you good.

This works really well but half the time when I wake my computer up it doesn’t see any networks. I have to go into device manager, disable then enable the driver or just reboot the computer.

Provides great wifi signal for my desktop! The network on my computer was really weak but this device helped alot when I started using it.

Works perfect! We were worried our desktop was too old to have wireless internet. Thanks to this handy adapter it was so easy to plug it in and connect to our wireless internet. Thanks Netgear!

I was upgrading from a newer version of a TP link and thatwifi adapter kept dropping. So I went ahead and bought the Netgear and I can say it is 10 times better and I will not go back to any TP link
