Awesome WiFi mobile hotspot! Speeds are excellent depending on your network, beat suited for 5G (even on 4GLTE, it's fast enough to stream movies or do work tasks), and the flexibility is a nice feature. Whether tethered, wired via Ethernet, or wireless this thing is a powerhouse. Battery can be removed when you're not on the road, which keeps you from damaging the battery through overcharging if you choose to leave it plugged in. Removing the battery also causes the range to be significantly increased (up to 2k sq ft). Only two knocks I'll assign is the battery life is not that great (4-5hrs tops with just one device connected) and the touch screen is clunky and not all that intuitive. However, the lack of battery life is not a big deal to me as a power source is almost always available to for me when traveling, and the touch screen I can live with – It works, just not the greatest. Overall, with all the features this hotspot offers, along with the incredible speeds, it's enough to merit 5 stars from me.

Upside: Traveled to the Philippines and Japan in December 2023 and this unit works like a charm. Pop in the Sim, and the M6 automatically detects the appropriate settings; no need to manually enter APN settings and such. I had 4 devices (2 of which were locked) and able to connect to the M6 like a WiFi. Streaming uploads and downloads will be based on the carrier you picked and location. I was mostly in the city and in both countries, I averaged almost 35mbps based on using Speedtest App. Downside is that the M6 gets warm during usage, despite using the custom settings to maximize battery life, which will last you a full 8 to 9 hrs. I recommend to get a spare battery since charging the unit from less than 10% will take you back 9 to 10 hrs til fully charge at 100%. Remember, this is a hotspot, and not a Satellite GPS. If the unit can pick up a signal, it works like any other cellular device. If your traveling in desolate areas with little or I reception, suggest getting a Garmin inReach or Zoleo.

A bit expensive at over $900. The touch screen could better be improved further. Also better deal at Netgear website with free antennas.

This has so far been a good little hotspot for mobile travel work. When we pair it with our weeboost in the van it gets more coverage. So far pretty pleased! Love the compact size too.

Excellent product no complaint. Best hotspot I ever used

Compared to the nighthawk m1, this model has aweful battery life (I had an m1 for 2 years and it worked great). I have adjusted the settings to the most efficient power mode and it has not lasted longer than app. 6 hours. I purchased a second battery to determine if this may be the issue and incurred the same problem. This product does not work as advertized and it is now past the point of return, which is very disappointing. As a fair assesment the product has many cool features that work great, its just unfortunate I’m not able to use them because the battery life is dismal. Great features, aweful battery life, 2 stars. Buy the m1.

This is perfect for people like me who’s always on the go. I love that it works with Verizon prepaid plans and has a battery that can keep up with my needs. Though its $1000, well worth the investment if youre looking for that protection and coverage while having the security of your own wifi on the road.

Best Buy is the worst company when it comes to returns. We had to order the nighthawk which took time. When we received it Best Buy did not tell us we had to have a SIM card plus it only worked with AT&t and T-Mobile. We were with Verizon. So it would not work after two trips to Best Buy to find out it would not work. We went to take back and they would not take back because it had been 15 days. So we are stuck with this device. They were also very rude.
