Bought this router to replace an older router which needed to be rebooted many times during the day. Unplugged the old one, installed the new one. In a matter of minutes it found all my devices. Now streaming videos no longer requires rebooting. Handles all my devices with ease. Easy to use software for configuring.

I can get a signal almost a block away from my house. This router is great.

Had a Net Gear router (older one for a long time), it worked just fine. Family now has more appliances and just wanted to boost up the WiFi service. Net Gear served me well, So I purchased an upgrade. Works Great!

We have a 2000 sqft office, single story, and needed a basic wifi router. We were able to centrally locate this router so we have better than 50% signal at the furthest points. The router was easy to setup and we were online in less than 5 minutes after power up.

Reviewed a bunch of Wi-Fi routers, tried a few but this is one the best by far, tried 3100 Asus router because it got great reviews and Asus is one of the top brands, however my computers would disconnect for no apparent reason. I get full courage right throughout the house and works great with my Xbox for gaming online.

We purchased this Nighthawk because our CenturyLink internet kept dropping. Once we installed this router our internet stopped dropping. Highly recommend purchasing this solution if you are having the same issues we were.

Works much better than what I was using, Yet, still doesn't have the powerful coverage I need for my large, spread-out house.

Easy setup to my existing network. I needed a dedicated Wifi router for my personal devices due to other family member crowding the current one. Works great and easy to use.

This is a great modem for what I need. It was easy to install and set up.

I upgraded from a Linksys that would always drop my signal, get overridden by neighborhood signals and would get bogged down by all of the devices connected at once. This hardware is like night and day difference. My speeds doubled! The beauty of this is that all you need is your smartphone and you can connect it. I love being able to monitor traffic, connections and what devices are connected via my smartphone. Bear in mind, it is much bigger than my last router but I still had no problem finding a spot for it. The "smart connect" feature is beautiful. It connects to the wider range signal when I leave the proximity of the access point, but the downfall is that I have to turn off the wifi on my device (phone, laptop etc) and then reconnect to get back into the fast lane. A minor inconvenience but doesn't detract from the overall greatness. So far, I've had ZERO issues.

This is a great router and has been the fastest wifi reception i have ever had. It is huge in size though, so unless you have a lot of space by your modem, it may not work for you. Excellent device overall.

When I was first setting this router up the 2.4ghz througput was horrible. Quick upgrade to the latest firmware fixed that and speeds were great. But then I found myself constantly rebooting and normal web browsing failing most of the time. This was with all factory defaults with the exception of my SSID names. After reading the NETGEAR forums I saw most had better luck with previous versions. As of this writing I’m running 1.0.9.14. Seems fairly stable but sometimes I do have a 5 second or so TTFB loading pages in my browser. But then things are fine. All media streaming is fine. Haven’t tested gaming yet even though Ive had this a week. But currently I’m content. I’ve only given this 3 stars because of the firmware hastle. I could consider a 4 if it continues to function without further issue.

All I can say is that my download speed went from 3mps to 25mps-100mps! Does as advertised!!!!

Works great, easy set up, compatible with Time Warner/Spectrum internet. Fortunately for me, whenever its crapped out it's been because of nature/ storm, and within the warranty period! I've bought Netgear's products for years and it never disappoints.

I have always had good luck with netgear, and the nighthawk has to be one of the best routers.

I bit the bullet and bought the top of the line model figuring that I might as well get the latest technology. My previous router was dropping devices daily, requiring a system reset. So far i have not had to reset the router at all. It also has not dropped any of my devices. Very easy set up. THis is a very fast router

This is one of the best routers that I have used. I currently have it as the main router controlling my network hooked to my Uverse gateway. The ability to let it be the main brain of my system has allowed me greater flexibility within my network. I highly recommend this router to anyone needing speed and customization.

My old wireless router needed to be updated and after looking at all the routers available this one had all the bells and whistles I needed to run my house. Range is good and so far it hasn't dipped at all when streaming. My download speeds for video games also seems to be significantly faster. No complaints.

I like the USB port for backups. Very good installation instructions. Stopped working twice but reboot brought it back up.

This is one of Netgear's top of the line wireless router. It's a robust unit with wide reception range. I would recommend this.
