Love This Orbi WiFi System!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new router so I researched them at Best Buy. I almost went with a newer version of the one I had (LinkSys) when this Orbi caught my eye. The reason, it was a two piece system. This two piece system gives coverage in the back part of the house, on the patio, and even out by the pool. I was able to install it easily myself and I love it!!

Love this mesh network
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My router is in a not-perfect area of my house, but this router and mesh network has fixed all of the issues. The internet is much faster and coverage goes out to the back yard. It was easy to set up and the app is easy to use. I like being able to test speed and see all the things using the internet in one place.

Improve my internet connection
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One side of my house had a weak internet connection but with the system I saw an instant improvement. No more lagging. My son moved his PS4 back in his room and has not once complained. I’m truly satisfied. Bought this product based on a friend recommendation. I would highly recommend! I caught this on sale!

Game changer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. Really increases speed. The orbi is a game changer from using the cable company provided router. I have one at my home, but bought a second unit for my mom’s house. She was always having buffering issues when watching steaming TV. None since installing the orbi.

Easy setup
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazingly easy setup. Connects and use and network adjustment features are really good and convenient. Works well for most consumers. But this router doesn’t allow you to choose the Connection type for your devices. (5ghz or 2.4ghz). We have experienced a number of disconnects and device drops during the middle of streaming and gameplay because the TV or PlayStation are just on the threshold of too low signal 5ghz, and Will Sometimes flop to 2.4 but when it does so it drops network connection first. And then after a bit it will then hop back to 5ghz. A bit frustrating. Would be nice to dedicate a 2.4 or 5g connection for devices manually over letting the router decide.

Didn't know how bad my old router was
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I consider myself somewhat techy and I have a lot of devices, Roku's, Fire Sticks, Echo's and more. I had always just went "good" wifi routers to cover my small hourse, 1,400 sq ft. I pay for 400 internet speed but I never got close to that, with my old routers, I would be lucky to get 80 mbs download through wifi, even when I had another stand alone AC2200 single router. The whole thing with Covid and kids working from home was the last straw as my wireless was always dropping when they had to school from home. Everyone told me that having a mesh system for my size house was overkill, but I got this anyway and WOW...rock solid and download wifi speeds of 350-400mbs with just normal usage and a solid 150-200 when we are all connected to the Zoom/Teams/Google Meet calls. My last router was a TP link which is usually really good, but this has exceeded my expectations and works. Best money I spent this year.

Very Easy to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very Easy to set up. I am a novice and had no problems with connections or loading and using the app. Purchased main Router and one Satellite due to most of our devices being linear in center of house and have no connection problems. Would recommend product.

Good router and satellite, however...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good router and satellite. However, do not install the Netgear Armor. (You really almost can't not install it when setting this up on your phone.) During my set up it installed and activated itself, and I was being very careful during set up. Once I saw it had installed and activated itself I just decided to leave it and let the 30 day trial run out. It really slows down your page load times. But even more importantly it blocks sites that should not be blocked. I spent weeks trying to figure out why I wasn't getting important responses to government emails that I sent. By the time I figured this out it had blocked 83 URLs. On top of that I can't see all of the 83 blocked URLs, only the past day's worth. Who knows what other sites were blocked. This is not good if you are using this router with Netgear Armor for your business. Once I turned off Netgear Armor I started getting responses once again immediately after sending emails. Page load times are also much faster. If Netgear Armor does turn itself on while you are setting up your router, at least you can turn it off. I would take off more stars due to the Netgear Armor, but it is a good router. Buy the router, avoid installing Netgear Armor. Do a search for Netgear Armor blocking websites or emails, nobody likes it.

Best WiFi purchase ever!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much research regarding "mesh networks", I decided to purchase this item. It was extremely simple to install and set up and has taken my internet to new speeds; prior to installing this I had approx 50 mbps (pay for 150 mbps) and now have 160+ mbps.

Form AND function
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A really decorative item, it works beautifully to expand the Wi-Fi coverage in my sprawling 2300 Sq. Ft. home. I now have strong signal in my studio workshop more than 6 walls and 80 feet from my modem location in the other corner of the house. Set-up was easy following straightforward instructions.

Wonderful mesh system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to upgrade my wireless due to adding multiple smart home items and old one could not keep up. This was very easy to set up, just one network name and will automatically switch between 2 and 5 networks. Can monitor from your phone. Worth the buy no more dead stops or slow internet.

Router with Range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this setup on a recommendation from the sales associate and was to replace my older router that quit working. This little powerhouse is broadcasting speeds all over my 1800+Sq home with ease. The set up was quick and easy and was a wise investment. Highly Recommend!

Not for home automation and security gadgets.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give this set high marks for ease of installation and performance. I'll give it high marks for reliability but I only used it for two weeks. This system merges the two frequencies, 2.4G and 5G onto one named network. In other words, when you see the system on Wifi selection lists, it's only one name. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem- you just roam around anywhere in the house with your various devices and surf away without having to connect and reconnect to extenders. Very many home automation and security devices need to use the 2.4G frequency exclusively. On most routers, you simply set up two named frequencies and choose the 2.4 when setting up your device. Not so with Orbi. The online user interface doesn't allow or support separate channels. I even used a command-line app to access the firmware directly and the changes weren't supported. If you need simple and fast Wifi for general surfing and streaming throughout your large house, this is a good fit for you. If you are an advanced user with more devices than just phones and tablets, you might want to stick with the "old school" routers and ethernet switches. That is until Netgear begins to offer more robust firmware on these router sets. Then it will be awesome for all of us.

Outstanding range, even better speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have my Orbi set up in AP mode with a firewall/IDS doing the routing. This product is blazing fast. I have gigabit internet and I get 420 MBPS down / 350 MBPS up all over my town home. Setup was super simple. My only complaint is the app is laggy and sometimes crashes for iOS.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was upset at first at the speeds this was giving me, but after using the free Netgear app and changing the 5Ghz channel a few times, I found a great channel and have great speeds. Never had WiFi this fast and with this coverage. This is less than some routers too. Would recommend it.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The orbi was very easy to set up. I am not maximizing my gigablast connection yet, but I just need to configure it differently to make it work. I love that I have a very solid connection all across my 1800 sqft home.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was slightly skeptical at first that this would actually have the range it indicates... it’s better than I expected and the signal for the booster certainly reaches farther than it says. Very pleased with the ease of set up also.
