It's great to have net gear power line, you can have hard wire enternet wirless, I don't have to worry about loosing wifi signal anymore I can have hard wire any devise in the house without running any cables or drill holes in walls or anything, the net gear power is great because I can can get internet to my T.V or game or anything els needs strong signal.

The set up was easy, but the Ethernet cable connection is slow sometimes. I am not sure if that is because of my ISP or an issue with the product. I cloned the wifi to create a new access point and that has a very limited range.

This is my first powerline product and I absolutely love it. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because the wifi signal coming from powerline needs a different name then your regular wifi routers name.

I used this to extend WiFi to the third floor of the house to use with Roku TV. Works great.

The wireless card in my smart TV died and my TV is located on a different floor than my router for my internet so direct connection wasn't an option. Read reviews on this and decided to give it a try. Product works exactly as advertised and now my Smart TV has internet capability again. Just make sure you connect to it and secure the wireless network it creates so that your network isn't leeched onto by outsiders.

Instructions and install was pretty easy. Wireless capability works great. No issues noted.

This works well even thru 4 thick walls. Nice to have facetime on phone and still move into every room and outside without worry of dropped call because no WiFi signal. Super easy instructions for placing it.

So far I have had no complaints with this product. I recently moved and placed my router in a room on the 2nd floor and all video game systems in the basement. This little device solved all of the connectivity issues without running wires through the house. I would recommend this device to people not looking to do the same.

I purchased a PlayStation 4 at Best Buy to find out that the firewall with Comcast will not allow the PlayStation to connect online. I bought this product after several attempts at opening and closing ports in my firewall. It was a plug and play and we do not have any trouble at all going online with the PlayStation.

Product does what it says it does. Software installation and setup was very easy.

These units work very well. I own a commercial and residential AV integration company. Whenever you cannot physically run a Cat5/6 cable between two points,, this is the solution. Just plug and play. The models that include WiFi at the receiving unit just need to be activated by using an ipad or other device to connect to the welcome screen on the first deployment. After that it works perfectly.

Purchased this product to extend wifi to my brother's polebarn. Worked great for a couple of months but now needs frequent resetting. Easy setup initially.

I went with this solution when a regular WiFi range extender didn't do the trick. Now I wish I had gone with this initially and saved the money we paid for the extender. The setup was trivial and the signal in the back half of the house is fantastic. I have the remote unit plugged into the Thunderbolt display in my home office and we get a good signal in the master bedroom across the hall.

Easy to set up. Great value for money. A lot better than wireless wifi extender.

This device is very user friendly when setting it up and using it. The range and speed are more than acceptable.

The NETGEAR - Powerline 500 802.11n Wireless Access Point is a great way to extend your network, especially if you don't have ethernet connections throughout your home or office, or if the walls are thick or the signal cannot cover the desired space. Only thing to remember is that both units must be on the same electrical circuit in the host - which it most likely is.

bought this to replace a set I gave to my parents, this one has a wifi extender, works like a charm, now I have better wireless connections in my home. One con, the documentation could be a little better, I discovered by accident that you must hook up a computer via hardwire to finalize installation and get the connection. Other than that I couldn't be happier
