The definitive New Super Mario Bros. version!

After looking up multiple reviews for this game, I was saddened that it was nowhere to be found for less than scalper prices. NSMBU was found everywhere, but only the version without the Luigi DLC bundled in, so you can imagine my surprise when tthe dual-pack version was placed in-stock once more at Best Buy!
Not only would I have a chance to nab this little Super Mario gem (which has all the play mechanics of the New Super Mario Bros style that started on the DS), but I would also be able to use my GCU discount? It was a no-brainer.
If you're looking for this version, check out your local BB and see if they have it and don't miss out... again!

really enjoy these games, New Super Mario Bros U more than the Luigi one (all of the levels are on a fast timer, so you have to run). I've been a fan of Mario since the 80's, my husband as well, we both had the NES. While I haven't played all Mario games, I find this one to be the most challenging. In each level, you collect 3 large star coins, some of them are hidden REALLY well. The ghost house levels are challenging too, I could see it being harder for a child to get through some of the levels. My #1 gripe is the "Death Pause" during multi-player gaming. I can't even count the number of times I have died because the screen frozen right before a jump. The freeze is for about 1/2 a second, but it can be the difference between running and jumping and running and falling into a hole. I wish they'd remove it.

Games graphics are very vibrant and crisp in high resolution. Love the background and the look of the levels. Sound is very good as well. Game isnt hard at all but some arts may give people a little challenge.

This game feels very much like the real successor to Super Mario World. You know, the one that introduced Yoshi, Switch Palaces, and secret level exits when you find the key. My all time favorite Mario Game.
Then Super Mario World 2 happened, and it was horrible, with the baby Yoshi and weird juvenile graphics. Horrible.
As far as I'm concerned this is the real sequel, and it's amazing. I'm not really into the multiplayer stuff, but the single player gameplay is great.
Highly recommend, and I'm excited to see what Luigi mode brings.

This is a good remake of the 2d Mario games, gets a little crazy with more than one player. But a lot of fun.

If you've played a previous Mario Party game in the series, you know what to expect with Mario Party 10. It's another great party game for all ages with a few new features, gameplay mechanic tweaks, and a plethora of new mini-games.
For those new to the series, Mario Party 10 is essentially a collection of virtual board games, each consisting of many rounds of dice rolls, mini-games, and unexpected twists at every turn. The goal of the core game has 4 players (any combination of 4 CPU or human players) attempt to become the Superstar by winning mini-games and collecting items. It's a proven concept for fun and social gaming for kids and adults alike.
Similar to Mario Kart 8, Wii Party U, and many other of Nintendo's games, Mario Party 10 evens the playing field across all players so one person won't continually dominate every game. Just like MK8's Blue Shell, this is a good and bad thing. If you are mixing kids and adults in one game, it's nice to know the kids have a chance of winning without having to 'let' them win. But for competitive gamers like me, it can be frustrating to consistently win all the mini-games but still finish dead last (grrr!). Fortunately, the game is incredibly fun regardless of if you win or not.
One of the best features in any Mario Party game is the in-game store. It allows you to have something to work towards as you play through the various game modes and earn coins, drastically extending replay value. You can purchase and unlock new characters, music, harder CPU difficulty, vechicles, etc. MP10 also has a large list of challenges (a.k.a. achievements or trophies for Xbox/PlayStation owners) that give you extra objectives to work towards, and allow you to earn coins even faster.

Glad to see the New Super Mario Bros U + New Super Luigi Bros U combo pack was released as a standalone retail release. Many people were taking the Wii U pack-in game and trying to sell it independently for a premium. Nintendo got wise and released this officially for Christmas 2015.
If you enjoyed New Super Mario Bros on the Wii, or the two NSMB DS releases, you will enjoy this game as well!

I'm so pleased that they reissued/reprinted this game, because if you tried to snatch it up just prior, you were getting it used or marked up.
Best 2d platformer on the wii u, and by the time you get to luigi's portion ( which is more challenging because of the level parameters), you skills will be groomed for the task.

I'm really glad this game was made so we can all enjoy the glory of a side scrolling Mario adventure in HD! My son is a huge fan of Mario games, particularly side scrolling variations so this was a must have! I was able to combine my GCU discount with a coupon to get a price unavailable elsewhere. Thanks very much!

This game is a lot better than the previous New Super Mario Bros games were. The levels are designer very well, staying interesting the whole way through. Similar to New Mario Wii, this game also supports 4 players. Additionally, a 5th person can choose to use the Game Pad to create blocks for the other players to jump on (or stop enemies and hazards). This package also includes the Luigi DLC, which is almost like a whole new game itself. Despite only being a sidescrolling title, it looks really great since it's in HD and has Nintendo's colorful charm to it. It still looks good when played on the SD Game Pad screen, too.

The kids enjoy playing this game together as a team. It's great to see them work together to reach a common goal. They're able to strategize while dodging the enemy. Great graphics. Brings back old memories while watching. There's a lot of game options that keep them interested for hours.

The best part about nearly any Mario game is that it's fun for everyone no matter what his/her age. This one definitely doesn't disappoint when it comes to gameplay, it has one of the better game layouts as far as Mario games go.

The graphics are well done, very colorful. The game play is same as usual. The worlds and levels remind you of past ones without being the same. I just wish you could be different characters or even more color options with toad.

I love Mario games and this was no exception. It's not all that different from any of the other Super Mario Bros games, and oddly, it still feels as fun and challenging as if I was playing them for the first time.
