Is there any current day actor who matches the talents of Nicolas Cage? The varied roles he has taken and his ability to master them is most impressive. This film is no exception.

Although is a dvd, the resolution is very good for a 50” tv screen. I prefer to buy blu ray, but first I wanted to see how good was the movie. I liked it. Now that I see that the movie looks nice I won’t need to buy it on blu ray.

Who hasn't dreamed of having some super power? With all the super hero movies that are dominating the movie theaters, I would say the answer is probably everyone has wished they had some sort of power. Well in Next, the power is the ability to see two minutes into the future. Might not seem that useful, unless you are like Nick Cage, and use it for personal gain as a "magician", and at the card tables. If you know the outcome of a hand before it is played, you can tell if you should stay in, or fold before committing money. The story gets unique in the fact that his power gets enhanced when he is near Jessica Biel, but heck, who wouldn't feel enhanced near her?!?!? With the added ability, Nick is tasked to save a major metropolitan area from massive bomb. Spoiler alert, he fails, everyone dies. Sorry to kill it for everyone... Okay, maybe not fully true, but you will have to see the movie to understand what I'm referring to.

A slept on film. One of Nicolas Cage s best. And Jessica Biel...Wow

Next is an interesting story about a man (Nicholas Cage) who can see 2 minutes into his future. Julianne Moore co-stars as an FBI agent who is aware of his special gift, and needs his help to prevent a nuclear act of terroism. Jessica Biel is cast a a lady (love interest) who is somehow involved with his special abilities. These 3 principals all give great performances, which really helps make this movie a notch better. Visually, it holds your interest without relying too much on special effects gimmicks. The cinematography is great, as is the continuity. The soundtrack is also very good! A worthwhile action flick that also has emotional content and some ideas to provoke thought.

Interesting bit on Cage being able to see a couple of minutes into the future. Nice but not great special effects, but not needed for this film. Ending kinda lets you down, but other viewers might be happy with the ending. Guess you will have to view to see

I was very surprised by this movie. I wasnt expecting much at all being a Nick Cage movie and it's under 1hr & 35mins but again I was surprised. It was actually very good. I do wish the movie was longer to developers the characters more and expand on a few others things but all in all it was a good fun movie.

I buy a lot of movies and I only buy blu-ray. For $5 I treat them as a Happy Meal for the soul. For most modern movies the Blu-ray transfer is usually decent. As for the movie itself it was well worth the price. This was one of Nicholas Cage's better action movies, more on the lines of 8 Millimeter.

Saw part of this on TV and wanted to see the whole thing. Great twist in story. Cage will do any movie for the $$ because he's so far in debt. The movies are not always good, but he is always great. This one is really good and worth watching.

I thought the concept of this movie was pretty clever, and the filmakers executed it really well. This has been out for a while but is still entertaining and at the great price is a nice film library builder.

Always enjoy Nicholas Cage as the good guy trying to do what's right...a variation on Groundhog's Day theme.

Great low price blu ray dvd and largeselection of avaiable titles

One movie I didn't see and very happy I was told about it. Good acting by Cage and the crew with twist and turns throughout.

I liked Cage's character trying to walk the line between helping the government and just being used by them.

Sadly, actor Nicolas Cage has, over the last several years, seen fit to crank out film after film, with seemingly little thought given to story, budget or quality. Even so, every once in a while, this slapdash approach can still yield a halfway decent movie. "Next" is just that. A nice little film with two strong female co-stars that is worth a few viewings.

While not the award-winning Nic Cage, this film brings home the crowd-pleasing Nic Cage. A fun time to unwind-- bring on the cheese! :)

I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. There was a nice twist to the story line which I love.

I thut it was very good with a dope story not sure why it was pg-13 but it's worth it

My wife and I were able to see this movie in our local movie theater and were happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and we are looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

This is a great exciting thriller that will keep you "glued" to the television waiting for the next scene. Nicolas Cage is a great actor, along with Julianne Moore and Jessica Biel...and excellent movie with all three...
