    Decent Dash Cam

For about the price, this isn't a bad dash cam, the app is pretty decent and easy to work with. It does come with either a suction cup or 3M adhesive sticker and the magnet that attaches it to the GPS is strong. The only problems that I have is that you have to clear the memory every so often (I can't seem to find a way to make it override the old video) and once or twice it doesn't register the SD card so it freezes.

Overall great quality. It is a simple setup to connect and has everything you need to set up the dash cam. Gives you option of adhesive or suction. Not to mention, great quality for 720p at 60fps. Other options can go up to 1080 at 60, requiring more space. Worth the price, but downside is you need to separately purchase the memory card.

I needed to replace a Wheel whitness dash cam, that broke after 4 years. The Nextbase 322GW has a few features that I was looking for in my next dash cam. Being able to sync to my phone and easy removal of the camera, from the windshield. The first one I purchased, the on & off button broke after a week. I exchanged for another (322GW). So far so good. Picture quality is very clear . I'm Happy with the camera so far. Time will tell!

I was thrilled that the Nextbase 322GW was available. With all of the reckless drivers out there, I wanted a dash camera that had great screen quality with a minimized look/size. The packaging comes small and was surprised that it came with both a windshield connector or one for the dash. I opted for the window so that it would be more conspicuous from the outside. Unboxing and setting up was very simple, and you are prompted to download the app. Setting up the app was very simple and it’s built in WiFi makes the set up even more seemless. I had no connection issues whatsoever during the set up process. After a few weeks here are my thoughts: Pros: - Built in Alexa. I was always wondering how to have an Echo device in your vehicle. Instead of operating your phone (if in motion you can still get pulled over by the police here in Los Angeles), the Alexa feature allows you full voice commands. Be aware, if you have the Alexa app on your phone, it will respond as well. - Blue Tooth and Wi-Fi support. - 1440p HD resolution at 30fps recording. The screen quality is great and crisp. - 3” IPS Touchscreen with excellent viewing. The size reminds me of the old Sony digital cameras of the early 2000’s. Very responsive screen with easy to navigate menu options. - G-Sensor for accident detection - Emergency SOS contacts first responders with GPS location - Live viewing on your mobile device app. I did have some issues on the app, it was inconsistent. - GPS Coordinates Stamp - Speed Stamp. I found this puzzling at first but then it dawned on me that if you are arguing with the court on your speed, you can refer back to the recording and it is accurate. - Date & Time Stamp - MicroSD’s are supported up to 128GB - Parking Mode – if the G Sensor detects an event will switch on and record. - Battery - you can have the engine off and it will still be recording for about 15 minutes before it turns off. - Magnetic connection - I installed it on my upper dash and it can magnetically connect/disconnect if you want to remove it from your vehicle. The magnetic is pretty strong and you need some extra weight to pull it off the dock. You know that it’s secured there. Cons: - No MicroSD cars included. It’s 2019, a microsd card should now be standard. - field of view. This was more of a concern as other cameras have more of the peripheral, here the field of view is narrower. To be fair I installed this on my mini van which is wider than most vehicles out there. Overall, great product and easy to use. Highly recommend this for anyone who wants that extra insurance of your safety when driving.

Great DashCam. Easy to setup and install. Comes with both adhesive and suction mount options. Video is clear and transfer to laptop to playback is easy. You can also watch video on the DashCam or wirelessly through your smartphone. Only complaint would be that glare is an issue. I ended up buying the polarizing filter for this camera to help with that.

I purchased this Aug 30, 2021, it started having issues mid-May, 2023. I could never get my phone to find the camera after it was paired days later, I would have to un-pair then re-pair the phone to connect even though my phone was on the pair list. That's fine, minor inconvenience. Camera has a battery not a capacitor. If it is freezing (32-35 degrees Fahrenheit) or warm, camera will shut off. I am in the Pacific Northwest near the Canadian border where heat does happen but not often. 85 to 90 degrees will make the camera turn off. I do have the rear camera option attached to the main unit, not the wired camera that you run to the back of the vehicle. Ok, deal with it. It is now less then 2 years and the camera just cycles on and off by itself. Resetting, reformatting the SD, removing the fuse (it is hard-wired), and doing a complete charge and reboot does nothing. For the price paid, the camera should last longer than just over a year in a half. I gave 2 stars because there is a function for it to show speed as a screen saver when driving which was excellent and I greatly enjoyed as I could see it clearly with where the camera was mounted. If only it would have lasted longer in a mild climate. I really love this camera and the quality of videos and options, but I can't recommend due to the failure of the camera in the timeframe I've had it.

Hi Lario, what brand of SD card are you using? Using a Nextbase SD card with our dash camera is recommended as our cards have been specifically designed to cope with the demand our cameras put on them with loop recording and wear leveling. While a non-Nextbase SD card may work for a while, it will eventually fail and will cause the dash camera to fail as well. Please reach out to our support team to help you troubleshoot at [email protected].

I have been looking for a dash cam and debating for year plus now, I wasn't sure if I wanted to drop $500 plus or buy a cheaper one and then I found Nextbase. This is an excellent camera and very easy to use and set up. Picture quality is great in day and night even at 1080P. I recommend buying the hardwire kit to enable it to turn on and off with car, as well as charge why you are driving! The app functionality is super useful as well. Coming from an insurance agent background, having a dash cam is a SMALL investment to save you A LOT of money and give you piece of mind! Protect yourself and your car with Nextbase! Highly recommend. The magnetic feature is clutch as well!

Bought on sale, very easy to set up and connect to the app. Crystal clear picture. Considered a higher model but realized most of the cost was for features I'd never utilize. Hard wired myself using a separately purchased hsrd wite kit.

This is a great dash cam and it's user friendly design makes it a superb choice for any first time dash cam buyer. For the price I wish that it would've come with a memory card but I guess the quality makes up for it. Video quality great even at night without any kind of night vision.

Quick notes: Comes with handy tool to tuck power cable behind car trim Includes adhesive window mount, as well as a suction cup mount for those that don’t want a semi-permanent install. Has quick release, so you can leave the mount installed, but can easily remove the camera itself. The power connects to the mount, so you don’t have to unplug the camera when you remove it, as power is delivered through the mount. Neat Windows app that shows dashboard (speed, direction, G-force) as well as video and a corresponding map. Records files as MP4, so you don’t need to view them in the app - can view on just about any device. Defaults to recording both a high, and low res video. This can be changed in settings. They do NOT include an SD card, so you’ll need to make sure you have one available, or purchase one, before you can really use the camera. Overall, it’s very simple and unobtrusive. As long as you power it by a key-controlled (only has power when the car is on) outlet, it’s pretty much set-n-forget. It automatically starts recording as soon as you turn the car on, and turns itself off when it loses power. It overwrites files (oldest first) as your SD card fills up. I was able to keep about 3 hours of recordings (high and low res) on a 32GB micro SD card.

    A few early problems

This has excellent quality for a dash cam. The main problem I have with it now is the extremely slow uploading of videos from the cam to your phone. The app will allow you to view a live stream from the cam to your phone but early on, the feed on the phone would freeze after about 15 seconds. One of their tech support people worked with me for weeks trying to solve the problem They even sent me a new SD card to replace the one I was using and that didn't work. Finally after a couple of app updates, the problem went away and it streams perfectly now. It could have been that the app had to catch up to Android 10 and it wasn't compatible at first. The video on the camera is excellent though for such a small footprint and it has an excellent field of view. I'm docking it one star for the slow uploads but other than that it could easily be a 5 star.

This is installed in a Hyundai Sonata (2016), with a low slope windshield. I had previously put a different camera in the car, (rexing), but it seemed to be interfering with the satellite radio, so I move the rexing to my car and got this instead. I prefer the rexing for the rear camera setup (a cable that allows me to run it all the way to the back of the car). The device has the rear camera attached, so it is almost more like a cabin camera. The Nextbase is WAY more user friendly and easy to use than the rexing. The rexing software is a PITA, whereas this connects to my phone for review of footage quite easily. Is it the best option? No. Is the Rexing? No. Is there a perfect solution? Not sure...but this gives me peace of mind.

Do not waste your money. Believe the bad reviews. Ive had this for about 2 years. One year in, the I started finding it on the floor of my vehicle. That happened for a couple of months before all the suction cup material melted, dry rotted and crumbled to its death. The camera gets hot…really hot..like you could injure yourself hot. It records fine for about a year then…whenever it wants to. It doesn’t connect to its own app. It constantly asks for the SD card to be re-formatted…then it stops recording after a couple of minutes. Recently its begun to make a high pitched beep BEEP BEEP until unplugged. Over all sucky especially for the price.

      Hello,
      Thank you for your review.
I am sorry you’ve had this experience.
We offer the adhesive plate as an alternative to the suction cup. This option will permanently stick the mount to the windshield.
The problems you describe seem to be related to the SD Card. It would be helpful to check if it is compatible with the Dash Cam or if it needs to be replaced due to being worn out.

First of all I Love this! I've researched a few dashcams & like the idea the power goes into the mount & the camera is so easily removed just by a very strong magnet. This makes it easily removable to bring inside & hook it up to my computer. Love the GPS feature & the data can be removed from the video if needed. Also can send lower res videos to my phone but found out if you have more than one camera you have to completely disconnect from one to use the other for sending videos or viewing live but still love this camera!

Battery not consumer serviceable. If involved in an accident you risk losing power and losing captured video. Battery is wired and wires are soldered onto board. Not a big deal if you know how to solder but this specific battery cannot be sourced from US as Nextbase is in UK and UK does not ship batteries to US as I was told by Nextbase Support Rep. This battery design was not an accident. Fooled me once. Will not buy again.

      Hello,
      Thank you for your review.
I am sorry you’ve had this experience. The internal battery is meant for emergencies, the Dash Cams are designed to be used with a constant power supply. Missing recordings are usually related to a non-compatible SD Card rather than a power issue. We would like the opportunity to address your issue and find a solution for you.
