Customers are delighted by the Genius Remote Extender for its easy setup process. Setting up the device is a breeze, as mentioned by many users. The remote control feature is also well-received, allowing users to control multiple devices with a single remote. However, some customers have concerns about the battery life, as the batteries tend to drain quickly. Additionally, there have been reports of compatibility issues, particularly with Sony surround sound systems.

Very pleased with this product. I was able to hide all the cables and put both my satellite receiver and my bluray in a closet. The remote works both devices as specified. Very happy!

I owned one of these for about a year and it worked ok but, a little sluggish at times. The batteries don't last very long. I purchased 2 new ones at around 6 months. My original unit died and I purchased another one due to the fact I liked being able to hide the unit inside my equipment rack. The new unit would not work at all I did all the trouble shooting to no avail. I call NextGen customer support 3 times and left a voice mail also sent 2 e-mails and I never heard back from them at all! No support at all, bad company. I took the new unit back for a refund.

This unit work better than a more expensive products that do the same thing. Apart from slow response once in a while, this makes it easy to hide components for a wall mounted television.

one set top box and control from any room

I purchased this item to control one set top box from any room I have a TV in. I have the STB in the living room with a TV. The RF transmitter eye on the STB. I have a 1X4 HDMI Splitter with 3D and 4K Support connected to the STB sending signal to all three TV's. If I am in the Bedroom, Basement, or living room watching TV I can control that one set top box in any of the rooms I'm in. The point to this is not to have to rent 3 STB's. Does the Job! Very happy with purchase.

This worked well. The range is good. Just remember it is battery operated so if the receiver is in a hard to reach area it will be a pain replacing batteries

I read many reviews about this product as was a tad nervous because some of the comments were negative (e.g., said it didn't work at all) but all my fears were allayed after I set it up -- it works perfectly! Set-up was very easy and I can now control equipment from a whole different floor of my house, relieving me of the hassle of running wires through the walls and floor/ceiling. It works every time -- no problem whatsoever. There are comments out there about the batteries running low quickly, so we'll see (I haven't experienced that yet) and that's why I only gave it a '4' on durability (TBD) - because I haven't had it very long. But it comes with two batteries, so it is always charging one while the other is in use, so I foresee no problem there. In short, so far I love it!

I love the product, but it's a bit on the expensive side. Packaging is misleading as far as how many sensors are included. You get one...the packaging implies that you get a multiple sensor hookup. Inside, the directions indicate that the multi-sensor hookup is actually sold separately. Setup directions stink...they're confusing. However, after watching a YouTube video of the setup, I learned that it is actually very easy. Very easy to use, although sometimes you have to press a button on the remote more than once. I expected this to be the case and to me, it doesn't happen often enough to be an issue. I can't speak to the durability of the product or longevity of the battery charge because I just bought it. The product is not perfect, but overall, I like it and do not think that I wasted my money.

This is a good product but didn't work with my Time Warner remote. I contacted the factory and they sent me in a slightly different device that works fine. Good customer service.

I needed to move my DVD changer out of the living room and this did the trick, the instructions were a little unclear and the battery in the remote acts as the link and requires a special setup that I am concerned it my kids ever lose it I will be out of luck.

I had to return my dues to lack of physical remote. I used Harmony hub which doesn't have the battery slot to insert the transmitter. I tested with a physical remote and it work well with all of my current devices settings.

This product allows you to hide all the wires behind a cabinet wall with easier inputs. The remote does not have to be pointed directly at the receiving component to make channel changes.

This product does exactly what it says it will do. I use it to change the channel from my cable box at the front of my house to the TV in the back of my house. It's awesome.

I had to return my the next day. It doesn't serve my purposes because I don't have a remote. I have the Logitech Harmony hub and it doesn't have batteries slot to input the transmitter. It only work if you own a remote that have or use battery like AAA OR AA to insert the transmitter and used that remote to send commend to other devices behind wall or in another room.
