The NHL series has gotten a bit stale with the same old gameplay glitches and AI issues, but this is the only way to play a full-fledged hockey game. The inclusion of Threes is a great game mode that provides a lot of fun, but this series needs a new engine (rumored to be on Frostbite for 19) and a big refresh. This might not be worth it if you already have 17 and don't care for roster updates.

I enjoyed this game a lot! It is so realistic. Really like fine tuning my team. Also the graphics have come a long way!. So addicting!

This is the best NHL game I’ve played since NHL 2009. It’s got great controls, graphics are ok, and many game modes to choose from. The commentary can get a little stale from repetition, but that doesn’t bother me so much. Overall, I’ve been having a blast taking my NJ Devils to an undefeated run at the Cup.

Poke checking still brutal. No major changes but still addictive gameplay. HUT is fun trying to build team.

Great update, my kids and I like to play together and the controls are smooth and the hits are great!

EA Sports NHL series really is the only game in town for hockey. NHL 18 is another solid release albeit just a small upgrade from 2017. Gameplay is solid and 'pretty'. I happen to like Be a Pro so I remain disappointed that I have to start from scratch every year. Be nice to at least carry over the basic player profile, (appearance and equipment). Do like the revised menus/navigation. Bottom line, if you want current rosters, etc. then pay your annual fee to EA and buy NHL 18 - smile

I have been buying this game for as long as I can remember. Since it's first PS4 introduction, there have been minor tweaks. This game feels more realistic (coming from someone who plays hockey), but if you have 16, won't feel a big difference. I like the inclusion of Vegas and the ability to create a 32nd team. The 3 on 3 game gets boring and repetitive after 4 or 5 games. If you have 16 and are short on money, or not desperate for Vegas, wait till 18, or until they drop the price.

As a returning gamer that had stepped away from the series and gaming in general, EAs NHL 18 is an excellent choice for any fan of hockey. Its control options are close enough to titles of the past to be comfortable jumping right back in and the level of detail and game physics is simply amazing. A must have for the die-hard hockey fan in any family!

The game didn't change much compared to NHL 17, the stick handling feels a little stiff, the developers brought back some of the old stick moves featured in NHL 13. EA added new leagues this season, the Champions HL tournament is a nice feature too. My main grudge with the game is the Ai's inability to pick up the puck in some situations. The selected player will often have trouble scooping up a free puck, in some cases they will skate right past it

Good graphics! Super fun online play and great game modes

I've been playing nhl since the 16 bit days. Nhl ea sports never dissapoints great game play with graphics to back it up. Never give ip because your always in the game and the tide cN change like no boddies buisness. Deffinetly reccomend this game for any sporting fan. Maddens over rated.

This was purchased for my brother who has Down's Syndrome. We wanted something that would easy for him to use. He like hockey and this game was something that he was able to use and have fun with.

I used to only play NBA 2k games, ever since starting to play this game I haven’t played anything else. I never thought anything could be as much fun as the NHL series.

I have been a long time fan of the NHL series by EA Sports. This game is another great addition to the series. Great graphics, realistic gameplay, and a lot of fun!

I’m a huge hockey fan and am also new to gaming. I love the rookie mode in this game! Even someone who is terrible at games will enjoy this if they love hockey!

This is the ultimate multiplayer team game. As soon as the puck is dropped it is fast paced action. 20 minute games make it quick ,fun,easy and hours of fun!

My teenaged sons enjoy this game. The graphics are extremely realistic and it is fun and fast-paced. Kudos to Best Buy on the fast delivery, as well.

Pretty much a newer version of last years game but the addition of NHL three's is awesome. Fun to play by yourself or with friends online and off
