Fun sports game for all ages. 8 year old son plays it with ease and enjoys it for hours. Allows you to play as your local AHL team as well.

This is the best PS3 hockey game & it will be the last one on he PS3. It is similar to NHL 14 & 15, however EA is more focused on PS4/XBOX One development a this time, which is undersandbale.

Granted, there aren't any other options NHL-wise out there, but I've been playing this games since the Genesis and have seen some good and bad tweaks over the years (decades, now). This entry is very superior to those before it. Love the Legacy part and considering what I paid for this, I couldn't be happier. Great hockey game!

Great game. This Legacy edition is the same game as NHL 2016. It's called legacy because it's for the older consoles where NHL 2016 is for Xbox 1 and PS4.

EASports certainly makes the BEST hockey games! Look forward to watching my son play this! He played hockey throughout school so he will be a pro at this!

I am still hanging on to my PS3 as long as I possibly can because I think I am just about done with my gaming life experience. I love sports games and I look for them to be both fairly easy to control, as realistic as possible and that it will hold its entertainment value for more than just a couple of hours of game play. I feel that you get this with NHL Legacy Edition. I didn't buy the previous edition and from what I hear from others this was not much different than the previous iteration. So, I cannot comment on that. I just find this game to be a joy as a hockey and sports fan, as well as I said earlier trying to hang on as long as I can to my PS3 experience. The action flows well during game play. Although the audience and other surrounding visuals may lack in this day and time of such realism with games, I didn't really find them to take away from my experience. My spouse and my stepson have never really played sports games to the level that I do, but I have gotten them interested in hockey over the last few years. When they saw I had purchased this game they opted to give it a try and now we find ourselves challenging one another to a game. They love it and they are beginners to this world. For that alone I feel this was a great addition and since I was able to purchase this at a clearance price makes it one of the best purchases I have ever made. I couldn't go to the movies for what I paid for this game and now we have hours and hours of entertainment, playing with one another. If you like hockey and you're holding onto your PS3 as long as you can than I recommend you add this sports game to your collection.

I love NHL hockey, and this game captures it. It is very challenging, but it has a variety of game settings so you can tweak it to your level of gameplay.

Bought this to be able to play online with a friend. The single player game is also fun.
