Replaced a swann that just stopped working cameras are interchangeable was a nice surprise overall im very happy with it

It is a good security system and it connects very well to the internet, the resolution is not the best for 1080p, but it is functional

I can not really review because i never got a chance to use or even open before it was stolen. But shipping was good.

I have a few wireless security cameras that I've picked up over the years, but the need for a subscription has always annoyed me. Doubly so when the cameras would drop off the network for some unknown reason and I wouldn't figure that out until after I needed to look up what happened only to find that all that was recorded was a blank screen or an OFFLINE symbol. This system has storage so, as long as there's power, I should be able to access the history. I'll find that out as time goes by. So far, so good. I'm not a very good handyman, but I am stubborn and I have a generally idea how to use tools and how to set up computers, so I figured that I would install this on my own. I was able to do so without too much trouble. Night Owl provided good instructions and there are plenty of available videos for any needed troubleshooting. The system came well packed, too. Figuring out the steps was easy. Pretty much, in no time at all I had the system up and running. I'm able to view the cameras on my phone, on my tv, and on my computer, wherever I am. Video quality is good. There is plenty of room for expansion. The setup I bought came with 4 cameras, while the box has room for 16. My house is a small square place and I can't really imagine needing more, but it's nice to have the option. Account creation and maintenance was done in under an hour and the cameras took a few hours to figure out how to run the wires from the system's box to where I wanted to mount the cameras. All in all, it took under a day to get it all done. All in all I am happy with what I got, how easy it was to set up, and I would recommend the system to whoever is out looking for a easy video security system. Below are my frustrations, which might not be yours. Take them with a me shaped grain of salt. Good product, but there were a few times while reading the instructions where it was made clear that, if you need help, the company wants you to look at their videos and help documentation rather than trying to reach a real person. For people like me who learn more from conversations and value customer service, this is a red flag. As it turned out, I didn't need (or even want) the help, but seeing that is an instant turn off. The system box comes with a mouse for control and input. The mouse is cheap and trying to guide it around the screen was pretty frustrating. It would jump around plenty, causing misspellings or sudden image enlargements when I wasn't expecting it. I'll try using a different mouse in the future. I didn't have any problems navigating the phone app (I use an Android) or the website (using a PC and Chrome), but I did have some challenges navigating the software on the system box. Beside the problems I had with they supplied mouse, there doesn't seem to be much way to navigate around. A couple of times, I wanted to back out to reenter my account information, but couldn't. I also saw references to different Admin passwords, but I couldn't figure out where or when I'd need them. Those problems (for me) being aired, the system is up and running just fine and I am happy with my purchase.

I already have one set of the Nightowl security cameras. I needed some more coverage. It is very reliable and easy to install

We are on a 2 acre lot and are able to see clearly way past our lot. We are able to protect all around our home.

Upgrade for a 8 channel I purchased from you couple of years ago, Works very well, like the format.

I upgraded from four cameras to eight cameras. I love that I did. I even upgraded the brand. I made a good choice.

I have had this for about 3 weeks now and have had 2 computer tech companies try to program in my camera static IP and the system will not accept the password that was put in. Has taken weeks to get thru to tech support and no help there yet either. I have 16 cameras (mostly night owl, RG6 cable to all the cameras and had a speco recorder which gave out and needed replaced. Another problem when this was hooked up to my cameras and I tested whether it would bring up my cameras when power comes back after an outage. Nope it won't bring the cameras back until you undo the cables from the recorder and then hook them back up one at a time. I view my cameras remotely on internet (static IP) and I cannot travel 30 miles from my office to the horse barn everytime the power would go off. In my opinion this system is junk and I want to know how to return it and get a refund so I can buy a Speco replacement as I should have done to begin with.

Great and very easy to set up it include everything but for the app setting not good enough

I like the old version better this new ones don’t come with great color for night vision

It has legg. Bit slow when viewing. I would say look for other cameras.

Great equipment. Very sensitive though. Very easy hook-up and simple connection to devices through app.

Bought it and installed up. Account set up is the worst absolute thing ever, its worse than the in n out line being longer than 1 hour. Mid making my account it crashed so now i cant login nor can i make an account since it says this email has been used also with my phone number that was registered to this device.
