This camera is perfect for people on the go. Fits nicely into purse to have on hand at all times. The Continuous capture allows you to take 16 pictures, allows you to capture action shots. However, when trying to pick one of the 16 shots, the image can become distored when cropping. I would recommend this camera for everyone who likes to take photos. The continuous capture will enable you to get shots you normally would not get, easy to make the target believe you are not still taking photos if you hold the camera still and look in another direction.

I am in love with this camera! When I bought it, I also bought the Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera system. It was a little pricy, but well worth it. It comes with specific Nikon batteries and a charger for them, that, when used, make the battery last around 9 hours between charges. The camera is incredibly easy to use...the screen is so big that you can easily see what you want to get, and the button has a 2 second wait. It is incredibly easy to get exactly the right setting, and the quality is amazing! When you are reviewing your pictures at first, it appears a little fuzzy, but just wait about 3 seconds and the lines come through so clearly, it's just incredible. (Picture example below) I was able, with this camera, to take a video of our plane taking off from inside of it, and was also able to take pictues of the cities and landscapes below without a problem. (Another example below) The only downside is that the sound on the video isn't very prominent. It picks up any human voices or music, regardless of if that is what you were trying to get or not. All in all, I will be using Nikon for the rest of my life. I have not had one problem with this camera and it is definitely an upgrade for me!

This camera is amazing, especially for the price. The high resolution, ease of use, & quality of the photos makes it a must. Plus it's compact & has lots of options.

I bought this camera a few weeks ago and love it. The next day after I got it I went hiking in Palm Springs and the pictures came out great !!!! The features are great but the only thing that this is lacking is the zoom feature, not very good but overall I love this little camera

I needed a camera for a trip I was taking, but I had been planning on getting the camera anyway. The price was great (it was on sale) and was up to the specifications suggested by a friend for a camera. I like how it isn't difficult to use right out of the box (once you add batteries, of course). It is good to read the booklet for additional features, but I was able to take great pictures of my trip without it. As a camera amateur, I recommend this product.

I love this camera. It takes clear pictures, and has some great features. You can zoom in for one thing. If you want you can turn off the flash. It's convenient since my computer has a slot for SD cards. It comes with a USB cord if you don't have one. Mine came with a 2 GB card so it holds a lot of pictures and movies. I've never had trouble with it and one time I actually tripped and fell and the camera went flying. It landed on the grass but it still works great. My only complaint, if any, is that the batteries don't last too long. It uses a lot of juice but since I use rechargebles that problem is solved by always having spare charged batteries on hand.

This camera was for my mom, and she loves it! Her 35mm camera finally died and she had to bite the bullet and get a digital. She was able to learn it quickly. It took some getting used to not putting it to her eye, but she adapted well. Lightweight, point and shoot. The reviews are easy, the deleting, easy. She is SO very happy with this camera. . . Now my sister wants one!!

REVIEW: I've owned several Nikon Digitals in the past and also have several Canon point and shoots that I keep my wife updated with, and a Canon DSLR for myself. I bought the Nikon L18 for my son for his 8th birthday this last weekend, and it's most likely going to go back and I will first try exchanging it for another of the same model and see if I just got unlucky with a faulty one. If not, I will have to bite bullet and pay the 15% restocking fee and switch him to another model. Like I said in the Pros, it is super easy to use and I love the large LCD on the back (although seems to look very contrasty). But the Cons out weight the Pros, by the shutter lag and the quality of indoor lowlight, with or without the flash. One last thing, the facial recongnition isn't nearly as accurate or as quick as Canon has in their point and shoot cameras. Good luck with finding the right camera, I hoped this helped.

This is a great little camera for the price. It is simple to use, and the large LCD screen is a great feature! I liked the one I bought so much, that I got one for my mom for Christmas. She doesn't like hard to use items, and I knew this one was simple enough for her to use. The batteries seem to go down quickly. However, I use the video function alot, and I would think that would tend to drain the battery life quickly. The videos are great too! Camcorder clarity that is really unbelieveable. If you don't get a SD card right away, I found that it does have an internal memory that allows you to save about 8 photos. If you're looking for a good camera, definately choose this one!

When I saw this Nikon model, I really wanted to buy it because of the price & the screen which is 3in LCD wherein you can view pictures/videos more clearly. It's simple in design, easy to use, lightweight & handy so it's good for everyday use.

I read the reviews before I purchased this camera and I felt comfortable with the store I purchased it from. Great beginners camera is what most of the reviews said. Great camera is what I say. Takes excellent pictures with very little knowledge and is compact and durable. The Nikon L 18 is one of the best camera's I have ever owned. And, the price... Where can you get a name brand camera for this price? Excellent, superb, wonderful. I will buy Nikon again.

Tis is a good prodect. You can change the pic qual and it is verry small. the battery live is low, and you cant charge the battreys .

This has been finally the best present I got for christmas I've been waiting too get it. Great shots but somtimes take too long for too focus on the shot. I had the change the battery twice so it can finally take all those pictures other thn the internal one tht goes up to 9. It took a while to figure tht out hopfully tht will be the end and i will take tons of pics.. now jst have get use of printing thm on the computer.

Price was definitely right (approx $110). Once I got the hang of the features, I was taking great pics and using the video mode more than I thought. Once I really started to get into it, I found out that the reset is just T O O S L O W. The few seconds it takes to reset feels like FOREVER. I ended up using it exclusively in Sports mode so I could snap off multiple shots and not deal with the reset on a single shot basis. The battery compartment jarred loose so it doesn't close completely. I found that this causes super fast battery drain. To the camera's credit, it last about 2 years through some heavy abuse before the batter compartment issue. I'm not going to buy another one based solely on the reset speed and that's what I based my Ease Of Use rating on. It's just too slow. The 2 seconds or so it takes to reset is the difference between capturing a lifelong memory or completely missing it!

I bought this camera over the Thanksgiving holidays for $99 which is a great deal for such an awesome camera. It's simple to use and takes a great quality photo. I bought lithium batteries and it's supposed to last a really long time. The only difference between this one and it's newst, more expensive model is the size...honestly I like being able to have more of a grip on my camera like this on provides. Save yourself some money and get this model unless you really really want a small camera. The size of the screen is wonderful and it takes pictures fast. I would recommend this camera to anyone of any age, everyone can figure it out

The new Nikon is fabulous camera for it's price. Quick response and great pictures for a little over $100. Great size non glare screen. Use Lithium batteries for guaranteed long time use. SD card an inexpensive medium.

I got this camera about two weeks ago and it is good for the price and the picture quality is perfect. I love simplicity and that is one thing you get from this camera - anyone can use it. Go for it!

This camera is great. Perfect for those who usually take shaky or blurry pictures. This camera stabilizes the image and every picture has come out perfect, even fast action shots are captured without blurring. Large display area and the functions are real easy to use. I figured out how to utilize most of the features of the camera in the 10 minutes I was looking at it in the store without looking at the manual. If you are looking for a great camera in this price range, this is the one for you.

This truly is a great camera!!!! It is easy to use and fun at the same time. I live by beautiful snow covered mountains and this camera really takes clear quality pictures. I got this for Christmas and have been taking so many pictures. The color is also very beautiful. Th one bad part about this camera is that the battery life is kind of short, but i have to consider that i have been using this camera a lot latetly so that might trim some of the battery life. Overall very great camera!!!

I recently bought this camera on a trip home to California and I found it to be a steal at this price. I took a wide array of pictures: action, people posing, landscape, objects far and near and all came out perfect. I also really like the anti-shake feature. The only downside is that if you use 2 Double AA batteries, they typically only last for about 150 pictures taken at the 2nd best quality level. Other than that, I would highly recommend this camera!
