I bought this camera for my Daughter's 14th birthday and she was just blown away by this particular camera as she was kind of dreaming about it. And then she was surprised when she starts taking pictures of her interest like Birds and other natures coupled with the "Nikon - AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens". This camera has few very good features like the Manual Auto mode which could be vey helpful some time. And it takes stunning 4K videos! If you can spend around 1200, with lens total 2000$ you cannot go wrong! I would highly recommend this the Nikon D7500 camera.

Excellent choice as I am a Nikkon previous owner with great experience. I decided for another Nikkon first for its quality and secondly all the lenses I own.

I was a bit skeptical about about buying my first professional camera. I wanted amazing photos!! This camera is easy to use. Takes amazing photos in all light conditions. It’s also very light to carry. I would recommend it to anyone!

I’ve been a commercial photographer for over 25 years and I really enjoy using this camera. I replaced my D7000 and am very impressed with the results. I wish it had the 2nd SD card that the D7000 has but other than that, it’s the same or better.

Perfect for nature photography and baby photos.
Speed is perfect plus lenses compatibility is wide range.
This is pretty awesome and I am happy with result till now.
Just bit pricy for regular use.

This is the best mid-range DX camera if you're moving from a beginner. Like all DSLR, there are so many options for you to get used to in order to master the camera.
The camera is well build and stable. I've dropped it a few times with no signs of wear and tear. The rubber grip also does not hold signs of fingerprints or being rubbed too much.
The weigh is just right but can become heavier depending on what lens you use. It is made for DX lenses. Though you can put an FX lens, it will not capture the whole frame but only format it in DX. Attachment of a shotgun mic or lavalier mic is also easy.
Over all for a Nikon and DX camera, it's pretty great for travel, video recordings and all around use.

It does everything I expected----Pictures are sharp and crisp-----sale price was very affordable----does use a lot of battery power in video mode---but well wort it !

After carefully weighing the decision to buy this camera body vs. the D7200, I decided to move forward with the newer technology and purchased the D7500. So far, I've been very happy with features I didn't really think I'd use that often, such as the touch-screen focusing in Live View, etc. The biggest improvement I've noticed (compared to the D7000 and the D7100, both of which I've owned) is the improved sensor and color rendition. It seems to nail color balance and exposure with minimal adjustments required in post processing. If you already own a D7200, this may not be worth the upgrade. Yes, I'm really disappointed there's no second SD card slot, but since I'm not using it for professional work, it's not a deal breaker.

The D7500 is an excellent camera for someone that’s into photography or anyone that just likes to take pictures. It’s got excellent pictures and has a ton of nice features

I really havd a 5star experience. The sells tech did a great job explaining the warranty and return. Also if there's a price drop, i would get the price adjustments, which i did.

I purchased my old D300 five years ago and now is the time to upgrade. This D7500 has been that perfect upgrade for me, everything I need it to do is done with ease and excellent quality. It’s great as a starter camera with the manual options for you to learn your way into, good for video and even good as a second body for those who may have more professional equipment. I’ve done some great landscapes and portraits so far but can’t wait to get back into gigs and band stuff.

I purchased this camera body on sale to upgrade my old Nikon camera. great camera with a lot of functions and better low light capability than my old Nikon. No trouble in using my old Nikon lenses. While the manual is OK you will probably need an additional book to go into detail on all of the settings. I have taken a lot of pictures to test the different settings - works great. I probably would not recommend this for a first time DSLR user unless you want to make the time commitment to learn the many camera functions.
