Customers often highlight the excellent camera quality, ease of use, and lightweight, compact design of the Z50 Mirrorless Camera. Many appreciate its affordability and comfortable grip. However, some users express concerns about the battery life and the use of a micro USB port instead of a USB-C port. The included lenses are also frequently praised.

I know barely the basic on these types of cameras -( for years all I’ve used was the iPhone camera on SE model - Lol ).
After visiting the store and speaking with Thayne, a Nikon trained store employee, she took the time to explain this camera in detail and made it sound fairly straightforward. One advantage, it’s Auto-Set ( point & shoot, even if you use manual zoom ). Rotate shooting mode dial, now I can quickly capture my dogs running and jumping over whatever. Sport action shots are very clear. ( if I ever had the idea to Blog - haha, > this camera also has video mode ! ( having still pics of my dogs are fine, but at same time I can video what they’re getting into. Yes, that was said, while in Video Mode- Still pics can still be taken!
There are many other features and I’m slowly learning about them. ( I did buy a book for dummies online to help ). Yes, I could have chosen a more basic model, but how soon would I have said “video would have been nice, I need a longer Zoom lens ?)
This Nikon came with a Two Lens package, although I did on Thayne’s recommendation, purchase the On-Sale Low-Light Interior Lens…. Again, she was well knowledgeable. Using this extra lens, inside my parents home that doesn’t offer great natural sunlight, this lens is very able to capture all the light needed. I will be learning more about this Nikon over time, but this has been my experience so far. I did immediately change the neck-strap, a tethered lens cap, and a hard sideed / foam insert & waterproof camera / electronics storage case.

Good Camera at a reasonable price. We purchased this for our daughter who loves to take photos. We have a range of cameras from Z6 to low end. This is a nice lightweight camera that takes really nice photos. We are hooked on mirrorless cameras because of their speed. We would recommend.

I love this camera. Smaller than my D7500, better ergonomics than my XT30 Fujifilm. Better controls and menu system than the Sony A6400 or A6600. This camera doesn’t have IBIS, but I don’t miss it. The VR in the DX kit lenses is excellent and reduces vibration. Even using Z lenses without the VR like the new Nikon z 40mm f/2 I can still get amazing pictures with slow shutters down to 1/10, yes even without IBIS. Worth every penny. The pictures themselves look amazing, you would have a very hard time knowing if they were taking with a z50 or z6.

I love this camera! I find it easy to use and navigate the settings. I had a Canon previously, but this camera is smart. I had gone through a period of just using my smart phone for photography and wanted to go back to using a traditional camera as I have always enjoyed photography as a hobby. I definitely recommend this camera.

As a long-time shooter and a former pro, I was reluctant for many years to buy an APS-C body, but I finally bought a D500 and was simply amazed at the image quality. I was still a little reluctant about buying the Z50-but I wanted something lightweight and relatively cheap to keep in my car, for quick trips to the beach or that particular time when I've wished I had a camera with me and didn't. However, after reading many reviews here at B&H and elsewhere, I thought I'd see if the Z50 is really that good.

This is a great camera. Compared to its peers it was a great price for the kit. I have never had a Nikon camera and I have to say I love the way it feels in the hand. The photos, so far, have been great. The Build is solid. The battery life leaves a little to be desired, but at least it can be powered (sort of) by an external battery.

Got this to replace a ten-year old D3100 which is beginning to get a little flaky. I love the compact size and the WiFi capability, as well as the much more advanced video features and bright electronic viewfinder. This will be wonderful for travel, especially with the pancake zoom lens. Very pleased with the quality of the photos I've taken so far, and I'm just beginning to explore this camera's advanced features.

Very beginner friendly camera. Although the kit lenses aren’t the best, they are pretty beastly for a start. Its light weight, but has enough weight to feel comfortable and like a professionally camera in your hands. The zoom on the kit lenses are amazing! Menu has more options that some others but isn’t too overwhelming for anyone who is just starting out.

Great Mirrorless Camera for a Nikon Fan

Great camera! I am kind of dedicated to Nikon as their cameras have always produced high quality pics since I got my first one in 2008. I previously had DSLR cameras, but I wanted to try out the Mirrorless and this camera did not disappoint. I love that they have a gyroscopic sensor that can visibly show you the balance of your framing. I am terrible at taking straight pictures that I have to edit them in Lightroom just to get them straight. Took it to France and Amsterdam and got some of the best pictures I’ve ever taken with this amazing camera. It may not be Pro, but it’s up there and for my amateur knowledge, it’s exceptional.
Plus, to get two lenses with it made it even more worth it.
