I was highly considering the Bose outdoor speakers to surround my patio but after reading many reviews I decided to go with the Niles rock speakers as they fit in surrounding much nicer. I was going to opt for the 6" woofer versions but was considered with the ability to easily hear the music without turning it up louder. So I got 2 of the stereo 8" variants. I thought I could get away with one but both my son and I agreed the sound was too one direction and it needed the second to fill the patio. Have had them now about 3 weeks and truly love the sound. Good crisp highs and fairly strong bass. Have turned the stereo to full power on zone 2 and no crackle or breaks. They just keep sounding great. I have them wired to a Pioneer SC-75 on the Zone 2 (Front Height) ports. A bit expensive but don't regret the buy. Best part is telling a buddy of what I bought a even he was impressed. Very cool.

I have 2 of these wired in stereo to a Niles switch so I can isolate left or right because they feature the dual tweeters and 2-way capability. I have them powered with a Pioneer VSX-1121k on Zone 2 with 110 watts per channel. The sound is possibly perfect for outdoor settings. The bass is deep but not overwhelming and the mids and highs break crisply. They blend in perfectly with my landscaping and come in a nice variety of colors. My installer highly recommended these against house or soffit mounted speakers as they play subtlely in the background and don't blare down from above. I control them via my iPhone from my SONOS connect and volume from the Pioneer AVNavigator app which could not be more perfectly convenient. They are worth every penny and even more so if you can snag them on sale. I am actually shocked there aren't more reviews of these speakers.

It's probably not fair that I'm comparing these to a pair of entry level rock speakers the prior owner of our home left. These are outstanding. The ability to run them in stereo as an individual speaker is nice option. I'm using 2 in a space that doesn't require that setup but the flexibility is nice. Mids and highs sound great.

Hooked four of these speakers up to a crown xls 1000 power amp. Plenty of sound. Best Buy rates these speakers at 300w. They are actually 200w
