An alright movie at a good value for DVD shipped well

Had some time to waste one weekend. Decided to give this movie a go since it was only $4.99 and Rain in it. Typical B-movie fighting action movie. Acting sucks but the action was alright. Just don't go in expecting much and you may be presenting surprised.

Okay let's be honest, no one is going to be buying this movie for the story. Ninjas fighting ninjas, ninjas fighting police, ninjas fighting gangsters, ninjas fighting spec ops. To that end I feel they play a little more with character development than they really need to and the few twists in the movie are about as predictable as could be expected. Where this movie really shines is the cinematography. Granted a few effects feel a little overused but ultimately they work. It's ninja-lover fan service eye candy, and to that end it works. Don't go into this expecting a long thought provoking story of intrigue and mystery and shadows. Go into it looking for cool sharp things flying through the air and a few matchups that you've been claiming, "Well I bet a ninja could beat that!" Now, through the magic of what feels like a cross between old school film trickery and bullet time, you can see just what would happen. Oh, and for the record, I WANT Raizo's brother's sword.

I Really Enjoyed this Movie. There Was a moment at the end where i thought it could have been executed better, But Other than that, I watched this movie understanding it was going to be Full of Blood and full Of Brutal Action. That's Exactly what you get here. If Brutal Fight Sequences Mixed With Audio Effects That Really Stand Out (Ninja Stars) Interests You, You'll Thoroughly Enjoy the Scenes Ninja Assassin Has To Offer! This is an Entertaining Gore Fest Fit For Any Fan Of Martial Arts, Ninjas, Or Action.

This was instantly one of the best Ninja movies ever made. The action and ninja awesomeness in this movie rocks. Do not look to be reeled into a compelling story. Cause it really lacks in that. There are two different story's happening. One in the Past and one in the Present. The Present story line is horrible and i think takes away from the movie. The Past story line I think was good and pretty interesting. The acting is sporadic, some have skill and others don't at all. Bottom line, this movie is driven by non-stop Ninja action. Ninja fans will not be disappointed at all.

I am a movie collecter with well over 500 movies in my collection and i'm happy to say this movie is one of the best action movies i've ever purchased. If you like movies like 300, V for Vendetta and the Matrix, or any martial arts movies at all then you will definetley love this movie. It has everything from awesome special effects, great cinamtography and nonstop action scences with plentey of blood shed. I highly reccomend a purchase, epsically on blu ray

I love this movie. There is non-stop action from beginning to end. The blood and gore is gruesome, which is right up my alley. The acting was good, the characters were believeable, and all were very pleasing on the eye (ESPECIALLY RAIN)!!! I would definitely recommend this movie for 18 and up. I would love a Ninja Assassin 2 with the same characters. Let's make that happen!!!!

this movie was good from beginning to end. exceeded my expectations of what i thought it was going to be. loved it in the movies, but the blu-ray was far better.especially since they give you a standard dvd with the 3 disc package and a free download. great deal.

we loved this movie. reminded me of bruce lee movies, but with the bloody computer generated animations. as in 300, Spartacus (tv,starz?). if you like martial arts movies, get this. very good one for the collection.

If you like Asian action movies and you like The Matrix's special effect than this is your movie. All around I watched in amazement of how almost perfect this move was. I just didn't want the movie to end. One thing I didn't like was that the ending was kind of corney.

story was a bit campy, ninja with big heart, very predictable. it is a ninja action movie though, so on that note all is forgiven. good fight scenes with heavy use of manriki gusari lopping off limbs and heads.

The martial arts were great! What made it cheesy is the fact that only the main characters could escape every impossible situation, even though none of the other characters or extras couldn't.

no real surprises, but the action scenes make up for it. definitely worth watching. not really into martial arts movies but this was a really good watch.

My girlfriend hate martial art movies but she couldnt wait for this movie to come out on blue ray. you will not be disappointed ( truly a good movie).

Awesome guy movie, and your girlfriend or wife will probably get into it too (who doesn't like ninjas?)

The movie was kind of a let down from the previous but it was still kind of a watchable film,very violent and bloody but it was still an alright movie!

I did not watch this movie in the theatres, so I bought the blueray. As far as movie experience-wise, I was hoping this film could bring me back to the days of the "American Ninja" series. Maybe it's because I'm older now that I didn't really get into this movie. If they came up with a sequel, I think I'd watch it if I knew there was more action and less story, since the plot of this particular flick was not the greatest.

This was a great action movie with lots of fight scenes. The young actor is very talented with his martial arts skills.

This movie was a great special effects, martial arts movie, but the story line was choppy and boring. While the cinematography was reminiscent of the movie The 300, the story seemed to drag at times, and was undeveloped. I would also add that, while the effects were impressive, they were often so exaggerated it looked silly.

Excellent Movie, EVERYTHING THIS ONES A BUYER FOR BLUE RAY. And Action Movie Lovers ........
