    Comes with a learning curve!

Okay, maybe I'm being too critical with a three star rating. The Foodi does Make great crisp crust pizza. It's just it seems a lot of maneuvering pieces out and in depending on what you're doing. Mostly I end up using it to make toast, which means removing the sear plate and the basket and finding a place to put them until the unit is cool enough to reinsert them and flip it up. But before I can flip it, I need to remove the crumb tray and clean it off. That's not so bad. It keeps it from getting grody. But when I tried to get frozen chicken breasts browned on the outside I couldn't find an easy way to do it. First of all, I didn't know what was recommended because the books that come with it have recipes that show what settings to put it on but they Don't tell whether or not you leave the sear plate in. I guess I need to go online to educate myself because it's not clear when I use the sear plate and when I don't. I like my things Crispy and close to burnt so the sound of the sear plate appealed to me but using it is a learning curve. The sear plate is easy to clean, but you have to remember to also clean the door and the sides and I found I could not clean off what spattered on the aluminum around the heating elements. It's fine for baked potatoes and I think I've got the toast function figured out. I'm still not ready to retire my little air fryer!

First I'll note that we had our first one replaced within warranty period because one of the fans sounded like it was going to destroy itself. Hard grinding/rubbing noise after several months, which is not great to speak to quality, but Ninja did stand by the warranty without much trouble. I think I sent them a video for proof. As for features, its a much better oven than air fryer. I love to bake pizzas and smaller items in it to save energy over larger oven. But anytime I air fry something i find it's never cooked all the way. I can bur things, or under cook things.

      Hi AddyGreen,

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about the Ninja Foodi Convection Toaster Oven. We’re glad to hear you’ve enjoyed its baking functionality and appreciated the warranty support. However, we’re sorry to hear about your experience with the air frying results and the initial fan issue.

To improve air frying performance, we recommend preheating the oven and adjusting cook times or temperatures to ensure food cooks thoroughly without burning. If you’d like further tips or have concerns, our customer service team is here to help at 1-800-365-0135.

Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll share it with our product team to improve future designs and performance.

      Kind regards,

I really like all the features this has. My stove runs on propane and I felt like it was such a waste to heat up the oven to even do a frozen pizza. My son is able to do a frozen pizza in less time in this. The only reason I’m rating it 3 stars is because it is extremely difficult to clean the inside. Because this gets used a lot it starts to smoke because I’m not able to clean everything from prior cooking. It started to get worse after using the air fryer option. If I air fry chicken I have open windows or it will smoke really bad inside, so now I don’t. This was a main feature that I was looking for when I was shopping around .

Nice toaster. Decent air fryer. If you buy this and use the air fryer, I'd always recommend pulling that bottom tray out and then the basket for easier cleanup. The flip up feature is great. I'm still trying to get the baking thing down. I'm having issues with burning outsides and undercooked middles. That said... it could easily be user error as I'm making it over the learning curve.

Airfryer fail, everything thing else great

The air fryer does not work as well as the Cuisinart. It took me twice as long to cook my typical breakfast and it still wasn't as crispy as I like. I set it at 450 degrees and it didn't reach that until the very end at 20 minutes. And I allowed it to preheat. I performed the same test on my Cuisinart and it took 10 minutes to reach the crispiness that I like. It reached 450 within a couple minutes without preheating and was 480 when I finished, although the highest temp is 450. I do the love the sear plate to use the sear crisp, griddle, or pizza settings in the Foodi. I had the best at home pizza ever on the frozen pizza setting. The exterior does get extremely hot and you should keep children away. The toaster works well and I needed a lower setting than my Cuisinart.

I didn't know this model was made specifically for BB. I was rather annoyed sitting at home trying to figure out how to dehydrate these apples that I purchased specifically to dehydrate only to do some investigating to find out this was a whole different unit that looks exactly like the "real" version being sold on the Ninja website. I was wondering why I couldn't find any videos for this model. Other than that I do like the air fryer although it ended up being larger than I expected.

We have a number of Ninja/Shark products, and they usually exceed our expectations. This product is filled with "Unfortunates". It certainly toasts bread, bagels, and english muffins better than using the actual oven, but unfortunately it's hard to justify using it over a regular toaster. Air frying works, but unfortunately was not as good as a dedicated air fryer. It flips up when not in use, which is really nice. Unfortunately, it takes an absurd amount of time to "cool down" after use before you can flip it into storage. We tried making a pizza on the sear plate, and unfortunately it was objectively worse than an oven. It comes with a recipe book, which is nice, but I could not see using this over other traditional kitchen tools. While this seems like an overly negative review, I want to emphasize that this would be great in a larger household for making breakfast for a huge swath of family members, entertaining for a party, or for someone just starting out their kitchen expansion adventure.

I love this machine for its versatility, but it is a nightmare to clean. You have to get the sweet spot between when it’s still warm and the food/grease is still able to be wiped off, but it’s not too hot you’ll burn yourself. The air fryer function also isn’t great. It doesn’t get the food as crispy as other cheaper air fryers. It’s great on the toast and toast function though!

Works great, but far too hot to touch the outside. The front and even the back is cooler than the top and the sides are the hottest. Love the sear plate and the large basket.

I loved the idea of having more room on the counter with the lift option when not in use. It had too many downsides for me personally. The exterior got EXTREMELY hot (stainless steel duh I know) but i was plannig for some, not burn your hand leave a mark bad. Did not care for the basket placement and the cleanup portion either. Great design idea, but that was really about it for me.

I wanted this for so long but it’s really messy and hard to clean. I don’t use the flip up feature much. I really wish it was easier to clean, then it would get five stars. Also the Teflon scratches very easy. Like using a sponge easy..

Never used it, the concept is great, but it doesn’t work for every kitchen. It’s too bulky and too small at the same time. Based on all the reviews it looks like people are very happy, but even though I have a large kitchen couldn’t find a good space for it that was convenient and suitable due to its size when standing up? And the opening makes it very hard to clean.

We were looking forward to "upgrading" our air fryer to something better. After a few uses it keeps smoking to the point that our fire alarm detector activates. We tried to just do non greasy things and still smokes. Unfortunately it's my loss bc I can't return anymore.
