I was going to get a 3DS XL, but ended up with two 2DSs. One for me and one for my girlfriend. I love the form factor; it reminds me of the original gameboy. Highly recommend it if you don't really care about not having 3D.

I am loving my 2DS thus far. It is perfect as a cheaper alternative to the 3DS. I am happy that it can play both DS and 3DS games, replacing a need for a regular DS. My only issue is that, because it does not fold, the screen is more vulnerable to being scratched when being stored. A screen protector or case is more necessary to protect the screen on the 2DS

I was playing SSB online (For glory) as Little Mac, and was fighting a Fox. That Fox was whooping my a*s, I got so mad I snapped the screen. Had to buy another, but I went blue this time (previously had red, and should've bought red again), but they do the same thing. Good product, and really comfortable in my hands when playing SSB.

Bought it for a friend as a gift. She loves it. Age does not matter when it comes to nintendo. Retro games are coming back and being remade to suit new graphics which makes it great. Can play regular DS games and 3DS games which is great.

I bought it for myself and since my boyfriend already got 3DS XL I don't see the need of buying another one. If you don't think screen size is a big issue and If you rarely even use the 3D function in 3DS you should totally get this. Way cheaper and lighter.

I bought this 2DS for my 5 year old son, he loved it. Of course he still does not know about the difference between a 3ds and 2ds, he loves all kind videogames and consoles, and more if Mario bros is in them. So I decided to buy it since it is cheaper than a 3ds and because it plays all kinds of DS games, as well as 3ds cards, but only lacking the 3d part, you can not view games as 3d, but my son does not care about that. Its design maybe it is not the best, the screens are smaller than the 3ds, and it does not fit in your pockets, but I think is fine for kids, better than carrying tablets or laptops only to play games, and of course not as expensive as them, $79.99 plus taxes including a game, I think is great. I just have to buy a case and screen protectors in order to keep it safe from scratches and falls.

This was a present for a young kid, he loved it! The price range was $132 and it included a game. I recommend it if you don't want to spend too much in the bulky 3DS.

Our daughter is 7. She loves the DS2 for a christmas present. We picked it over the 3DS because it didn't have the flip screen to break, it doesn't have 3D which may hurt children's eyes, and it was $100 less. She has dropped it once and nothing happened to it. She messages the neighbor girl through the DS.

I purchased this item for my 9 year old daughter as a Christmas gift and she loves it. I see her sharing this device with all of her cousins when they come to our house and they all enjoy playing on the device. I purchased the Mario brothers game and they don't get tired of playing this game.

This is the first Nintendo handheld I've bought since the GameBoy Advanced and I can say this thing exceeds my expectations especially with the $30 price drop. Thanks Nintendo!

My wife loved her old DS but was getting so wound up that games that she wanted to play were only available on the 3DS. 2DS solved the problem of playing 3DS and DS games. If you're not bothered by 3D like my wife, this is perfect as you can play the 3DS games on a machine $50 cheaper than the 3DS

From an adult perspective, the wedge design is a little wonky but kids with little hands can still navigate the controls and comfortably play games. Audio is limited to mono, but other than that (and the obvious case design) there is little missing when compared to a 3DS.

I bought this so I can play w my daughter.. she already has a 3ds so I just wanted a simple, nothing fancy ds to play with her.. this wasn't perfect! $80 and it already brings mario kart which is a $30 game.. and it works just as well.. honestly I kinda prefer the non-folding style of this ds. I'm very happy!

I picked this DS for my little sister since she has had every DS ever made by Nintendo. I like that you do not use the 3D feature. I have the 3DS and I never use the 3D. So this is perfect for those that want a DS with no 3D. It plays all the games still and it fits perfect in the hands. I might just have to pick up another one.

Purchased 2DS as a gift and it was LOVED. Highly recommend for adults and kids just dipping their toes into gaming. It's easy to setup and use and at such a reasonable price. All 3DS games work on it and I love the option to download directly to it-- giftcards make it so this gift can kee giving!

Sturdy, comes with everything you need to get started including Mario kart 7, which was a nice bonus. She is only 6 so I wanted to make sure she couldn't use the 3d function. Also, it seems more comfortable to hold than my original 3ds.

My son absolutely loves his new DS. He takes it with him everywhere. It so far has been very durable (he's only 4) and it is very user friendly.

Received this as a gift for our son. It is an awesome handheld game console for kids, and it’s pretty durable as well. I love that it isn’t in 3D just for the fact that young kids can play the same games but without worrying about the eye strain
