A great little bundle of nostalgia
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite Nintendo's disappointingly characteristic inability or unwillingness to meet demand with sufficient supply, the NES Classic itself as a product is great. A bodacious selection of 30 old-school NES games, digitally loaded onto a nifty little simulacrum of the home gaming system we all enjoyed back in the 80's and 90's. The body of the main machine is even smaller than the packaging and most online pictures make it look. It's very simple to set up and play. It connects to a TV or monitor with a simple included HDMI cord, and is powered via a Micro USB with an included AC wall adapter. The old games are rendered well, with bright, vibrant colors and surprisingly crisp 8-bit graphics even on large modern HDTVs. While the NES Classic controller bears the classic body and buttons of the original NES controller, the plug at the end of the cord is actually the same as those on the back of Wii remotes. Therefore, any controller designed for use with the Wii, such as the Wii Classic Controller or the line of various character-themed GameCube-style controllers, should work just fine with the NES Classic. Vice-versa, the NES Classic controller can be plugged into a Wii remote for use playing Virtual Console games on the Wii or Wii U. Whether you use extra controllers with the NES Classic or not, I'd highly recommend getting an extension cable for the controller. The cable on the controller is only about 2-and-a-half feet long. That's fine if you've got the system hooked up to a small TV on a desk like me, but not very good at all for playing in a larger living room or something. Remember that since they use the same connectors, any extension cords made for Wii remote accessories will work here as well.

Great Retro Gaming Platform
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn’t help but purchase this system, the reviews of others had little to nothing to do with this purchase. Some of these games I have always been found of and have been wishing I could play them again in there original format. This mini classic version is 95% of what the original was with the exception of size, I enjoy having a wide assortment of older titles. The only caveat I have had so far is having to get up to reset the unit for game title switching. But that is a small inconvenience to being able to play some of Nintendos greatest titles at a fraction of the cost of individual titles runing on the original console. Size and form factor are excellent very portable, I do wish consoles came with two controllers, but I knew that before my purchase so I got two.. Additional controllers cost can range from $20-$50 depending on whether they are OE or aftermarket. So if you like retro game, there is no doubt that you will love this console.

Great Console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, this is a palm-sized replica of a must-have household fixture from 30 years ago. Is it why it only comes with 30 games? Anyway. It's just classic, purely classic. The makers from the past made themselves millionaires. And Pow-Wow, they did it again. Now that is genius. Seeing the 8-bit graphics on my 4K TV is what I call the perfect example of combining past and modern day technologies. Like unboxing any new gadget, I took a look at the Start Up Instructions. 1. Controller. 2. USB power. 3. HDMI. Well, to be honest, in the composite days, I would just do it in a no particular order. Just plug-it-in. I wish Nintendo would release more technical details, just the HDCP ver. and the frame rate, about the HDMI connection, so I could better position the cable. I also wish Nintendo would have included the game Thundercade because that would be, at least to me, an irresistible temptation to buy a second controller. One Up every one, and enjoy the games. Thanks, Nintendo.

Great System, everything I was expecting.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really great system. Everything I expected. I just wish the wire for the controller was longer and also they had more games on the system. I stood in line two hours before opening and was lucky enough to get one right before they stopped making them. I wish I could find another controller though and they're impossible to find. I've been hearing very bad reviews about the aftermarket ones, if it wasn't for the Best Buy employee who told me on the Thursday before the Monday when they had the selling event I wouldn't have gotten one, here I asked managers about it to confirm and they all denied it on Friday and Saturday, but here on Sunday night it was released to the public that they're selling them the next day, way too little notice, so again I thank that employee and I'm very grateful and if it wouldn't have been for her I wouldn't have gotten one

Fantastic little NES system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tiny NES system is awesome. I'm very pleased with the classic 30 games that it came with. I have since beat 2 games so far. Only 2 issue, first is the lenght of the controller and second is u have to get up and rest to change games. The controller lenght was an easy fix for me. I bought a wireless controller made by 8bitdo on amazon. Overall i am super excited that i was able to get one of these and relive my childhood.

A must-have for retro video game enthusiasts.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Great variety of games, including a bunch I’ve never played before. All NES Super Mario Bros. and Zelda titles included, as well as action, sports, RPG, and shooter titles. Easy hookup. Micro-USB console power is definite bonus. In-game saves for each title with 4 slots each. Online downloadable game manuals to smart device via QR codes. Display options include old-school CRT scan lines, and “pixel perfect.” Cons: Cable length- I use a longer HDMI cable so I can sit farther away from TV. Only comes with one controller; some games are 2-player. Game saves are tricky at first; lost a couple hours of Zelda time when I accidentally opened a previous save without saving my later game. Item was not commonly found when I purchased online, now it seems to be everywhere. Price point was a little higher than I cared for.

Great system!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Any reviews saying negative feedback just don't enjoy having a system that's so simple to use. I will say the controller cord is short and Nintendo should've been smarter, but overall it's a great system to have. I love the save points and all the games! I wonder if they will make a deluxe model with the joystick controller because that was awesome on my original NES. The photo has a carrying case I got from Amazon for $20 which I would recommend for taking it on the go. Also they have the wireless controllers that are sold out here for $14.99 which are pictured as well.

Great system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great system. It took me many months to find it but I finally did after spending two hours in line, an very nice employee looked out and gave me the information that they were having a selling event before the public knew. That's how I was able to get one, I really hope Nintendo comes out with the snes classic and n64 classic, but with longer wires for the controllers. You definitely need to get the extensions on the wires to play this system. My it hurts your eyes and is very uncomfortable sitting so close to the tv just to play this system.

Awesome little system!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NES Classic Edition is an awesome little console! It really is small, which makes it easy to store away or take with you. It has 30 very cool classic Nintendo video games that are tons of fun, and if you ever played the original NES, they bring back great memories. I will say though that the cord on the included controller is a little short, so I would recommend that you buy a cord extender cable so that you can sit a little further away from the TV/monitor while you play. But, definitely buy this system!

Excellent Entertainment System!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I totally recommend this product to every person who enjoys playing video games ! This is absolutely, truly awesome !! I’m so glad I was able to get this the second time around. First time I tried I couldn’t get one! They were gone almost instantly everywhere. I waited a really long time for the re release for this and so lucky to finally be able to own one! I’m just just too happy and really recommend this to everyone!

It serves it's purpose
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As everyone knows this unit is just a small emulator with NES games loaded up. I am not a fan of the full selection since we know that they could have put at LEAST 50-100 games on here with ease but they did not. Luckily there is a way to "hack" the system and install any NES game you want, it's pretty easy too. Just check youtube for the hacking tool 'Hakchi' and thank me later. I have installed about 200 NES games on my system, I love it now! I knocked off a star since the controller cord is a little short. I guess they want us to sit close to the tv and damage our eyes like the good old days lol!

Finally, emulation that feels perfect.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did a quick test on some of the games, and they feel spot on. I hooked this up to a gaems m240 and a sceptre 4K set and didn't notice any lag between these 2 monitors, so if there's any lag at all,it's probably less than a frame (for the nitpickers out there). I have to take away a star for 2 reasons: 1: cord from the controller is very short (3' long) 2: it doesn't come with a USB mini cable (the same one you'd use to power up your phone or dual shock 4 pad). These issues aside, I love the system and definitely recommend it if you can find one at retail cost ($59.99).

Loved this console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love the new Nintendo console. It is so fun and reminds me of better times when I was younger. The actual console itself is way smaller than it used to be but it's great. I love that it came preloaded with 30 games. The one thing that I think could be fixed is the length of the controller cord. It was way too short and you have to sit really close.

Now that's classic!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the original nes back when I was a kid and this is the closest thing that brought me back to those days. I just realised how hard the games are back then. And there are some games that I still have not beat. But thanks to this new feature, now you can save your progress in the games. This really helps a lot. I just wished that they made it upgradable to add more games other than hacking it. Other than that, it's a good classic console for people who grew up during that generation.

Old School Gamer Dream
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this system! Looks exactly like the original but small enough to fit in your hand. Very easy to set up and start playing. All games play seamlessly. There is even an option to change the view to a more "grainy " old school look. Sucks it only comes with one controller but you can order another online.

Amazing console
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this console to relive my gaming memories as a child and it definetlely lives up to the expectations that I had. It is very easy to use and the games look gorgeous on my HDTV. The only negative about this console is the short cable for the controller but luckily it's an easy fix with an extension.

Nintendo dream machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally received this wonderful device after so many wasted trips to several stores and many online searches that have ended in a bust. I love this little gem because it brings me back old memories to my original Nintendo system. Countless hours of fun are the rule of the day in my house.

Reliving My Childhood
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This amazing Little machine took me back to 80's when I was little boy and playing in my 13 inches CRT TV. Is a must for any original NES fan. Only problem is how to get one but if you are connected to stock alert sites is really posible to get one without even leaving your home. Good Luck!

So cute and fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted this since it came out and didn’t get to get one because I guess people needed a ticket to get one? Now I found out they were back in stock from instagram and bought it immediately. It is EXTREMELY tiny! Its so cute next to my PS4. I love the mario games the most. What’s a bummer for everyone I bet, is how short the controller chord is, but whatever, still love it :)
