Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by Nioh 2's engaging gameplay and extensive content, praising the detailed character creation and the inclusion of extras like the art book and season pass in special editions. However, some players found the game's difficulty challenging. The high-quality art book and season pass were frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the special edition.

Good sequel unfortunately doesn't add much to the franchise game-play or storyline.

My son still plays this months after release and enjoys it so it's got to be good.

Not gonna lie, its just more Nioh and imo does not improve all that much on the original game, if any. I got burned out on this game very quickly. It is almost as if the first one was better! In the end, if you absolutely love Nioh, you will probably like it, but gets old quick.

Fun sequel that plays it a little too safe. Worth the price!

I tried to redeem the season pass but the code didn’t work. After I enter it, it told me it has already been redeemed. The first samurai armor didn’t work neither. I won’t buy any thing with a code from Best Buy again.

Tracking number still say label created. This is why you should do drug screening in the work place.

The one thing you will see in every glowing review is a mention of the first title. If you haven't played it, then this one will probably feel like a frustrating waste of money. You will likely spend more time trying to find your previous grave than actually progressing through the game. At least once, you will regret the purchase. The stamina system is perhaps the most frustrating part and it isn't really explained that "ki pulse" is a REQUIREMENT and not just a neat feature. This is something you may have picked up in the first game, but have to stumble around to discover in one of the tips during this one. You will come very close to victory when bashing an enemy and suddenly be standing in one place practically begging them to murder you. The unfortunate truth is that one false move can result in a waste of considerable time. In a lot of ways, this game follows the same strategy as all of the Dead or Alive titles. You have to master elaborate combos, time everything to the second, and always be ready to block right in the middle of trying to attack. If even one button press is not at the exact right moment, there is little room to recover. I found some parts of the game fun, but do not have a history with the series. Because of that, I feel a lot of the "evolution" is lost on me and instead feels like a game that is not meant to be purchased as an individual title. Repeating the same tasks over and over to reach the next checkpoint, but losing all of my progress unless I complete a ritual to retrieve it is not my idea of how to prolong the experience. If anything, it feels like a cheap way to avoid needing additional content.
