I am newly invested in the Universe line with my otterbox case. This was my final purchase as I did not want to get the armband holder nor the camera stand. The Car Mount kit works well and the modular set up is great, but my phone would begin to slump down due to weight (I have the 7plus). So you do have to occasionally adjust it. The magnet works really well and I don't fear it falling off. Great idea, good outcome.

The OtterBox uniVerse modular phone case system is one of the most intuitive technologies I have seen on the shelves, in the accessory section, in quite some time. This vent clip is so very helpful in my daily excursions. From home, to school, to work, to the parent's house, to events, etc., this thing is a must have! The only issue I have had is the fact that, due to its steel elements, it is heavy on the vent and drags it all the way down and you basically lose a vent. However, the steel ball feature is super handy because of its versatility.

In order to use item one must purchase the Otterbox case (which will be in another review). Once the adapter is inserted into the case, the center point is found and the magnet is attached with the adhesive, you can now put the phone onto the steel ball that is attached to the air vent. All that works well except with the iPhone 7 plus being rather heavy it tends to move around at all angles when the car vibrates from bumps, turns etc. Never once fell off tho. So with all that being said I think that it is a nice product but could still use a little refinement.

Good vent mount. Strong magnet, but your phone will begin to tilt down slowly as you drive, faster if you're on a bumpy road. The weight of the phone will push your vent downward, but that is to be expected. You do have to buy the appropriate otter box case to make this set up work, but the case is solid as well.

This was the most safe purchase for the no texting campaign. Be safe people. The magnet is strong and secure.

It’s expensive but one of the best ... I was tired to waste my money in cellphone car mount of cheap plastic

Great product as with a lot of their other products. Phone has never fallen off mount and the magnet is on the back of the phone, so you can stick phone to other metal objects. Only complaint is that the phone will continue to tilt down during vibrations due to steel on steel... should have a coating on one or both pieces.

I like it but my car vent doesn't fit for my iPhone 6s Plus. My iPhone is too big and can't turn sideways. I would like the mount little long or have suction on the window. It is really strong magnet to hold heavy phone which is great!

Offers a good temp mount so as to not do anything permanent or semi permanent to my car to have the phone in view. Phone is heave on vent ...I just added a paper wedge and vent stays open and phone in view in a good place. It is convenient and works...a bit pricey, but, I think worth it.

Attached with easy to my car vent. Never moved. No damage to vent. Bonus, the magnet affixes to the phone case so you can just stick it! Anywhere. Walls, cabinets, bathroom stalls :-) It is universal.

the vent clip didn't really fit my vents in my Raptor well. My Phone is large and this clip didn't hold the weight very good. The phone just bounced all over the place.

I love this case and all of the possible options. I took off one star because, although the magnet hold the phone well, it constantly tilts to the side and down. Honestly, I would have like to take off a half a star, but that's not allowed

Holds to magnet but if your vehicle had vertical vents primary then the phone slides down and pulls the mount of the vent

It is a good vent mount but the phone will not stay horizontal without something supporting it. Other than that it's great. The phone can be angled to see it better and the phone has not come off it once.

I love having the option to relocate the magnet ball attachment to any Vehicle I want. Also the black clip is detachable which allows you to use more accessories on your otterbox universe. At first I thought i was gonna regret buying this but honestly it comes in handy and I've built a routine. As soon as I park I detach th magnet piece and attach my wallet to the phone case. As soon as I get in the vehicle I attach the steelie magnet and what a strong magnet it is. Honestly it was worth every penny for me. Especially for how fast it comes off the vent when I want it.

This works perfectly with the universe case for the iPhone 7. Hold the phone at any angle and hardly ever moves. The only down side is that the snap on part is a little tough to get off.

I'm on the road traveling for work. This helps so I can put up and use the gps and not have to look down at my phone in my lap. Wasn't sure how strong magnet would be. It's perfect
