This game may not be the game that we were promised but it still is fun. this game has moments where it is nice to look at but it feels empty. In my time playing it felt lonely and the "online mode" doesn't feel like online just an easy way to make in game money. There is no way to really see what the other players have discovered. Not to mention the ships don't feel different. The only real differences is how they look and some of them had aim assist in space combat. So in the end if you are looking for a calm game with neat visuals this is the game for you but if you are looking for a fun space simulator I recommend elite dangerous.

The game is so vast that it can seem pretty donting but once you get the flow of the game it becomes a little addictive. One of those games you might not like the first time you play it but if you give it a little time it will grow on you. It is a sandbox game with almost limitless destinations.

The game is okay and for $30 or less its worth it. Really just zooming around, creating daily goals for yourself and naming systems ridiculous names! Just wait for the price to drop. Definitely missing a lot of promised content too.

I wasted a lot of hours just mindlessly mining and exploring, during which a lot of people were upset. I enjoyed the game, but I think I went into it with much lower expectations. The new patch allows for a lot more functionality, so buy this on sale and you'll get hours of entertainment.

I've played the game for about 20 hours already and have little to show besides a functioning warp drive and a limited alien vocabulary. This game is too massive and gives little to no direction. It seems like Minecraft in space to me. So if you are into endless mining and near constant upgrades with little advancement, then this game is for you. Too much of a time slog for me. I gave it 3 stars for the concept and philosophy, but this game could literally take a year for someone with a job to get anywhere close to a conclusion. The game is very lonely which I think is the point, but it doesn't make it very enjoyable to play.

While the exploration and sense of wonder are amazing at first, once the veneer falls away the player is left in a vast but shallow universe where repetition becomes the mainstay.

Love the game but most of my time is figuring out what I am doing. For the price of these games the should go back to giving the full product you purchase "a book". The story, mission and tasks are not as fun - more frustrating.

I love the base of this game, from exploration to mining resources to create upgrades. With the potential to add more features and a more robust gameplay experience (PC mods included), this could shape up to be an amazing gaming experience that tops what Minecraft has built itself to become

This game was hyped a lot and while it didn't live up to some of the outrageous expectations, it's still a decent game. A bit repetitive but the graphics are stunning. Still, lots of potential for improvement with some updates

Had fun for a few hours until I realized that the game wasn't going to change for the next 20-30 hours. Traded in after a week but will pick it back up once it drops in price. The game plays best when I need to relax my mind.

This is a game that had a lot of promises made by the developer but please look up trailers to see what it is really about, there is no multiplayer and it is a game of exploration, gathering resources, survival, and travel.

I really wanted to like the game, I really did. The first 5 hours were some really exciting times. The exploration was fun and the size of the first planet I was dropped on was huge. After that though when I moved on to the next planet it was very much alike...the third and fourth planet were very similar as well. It wasn't till I moved on to the 5th planet that things were differed, but at that time I was already tired of the slog-fest and I gave up. All the guarantees that they promised were kinda left our and we were simply left out with a 17 trillion hour exploration game. Some people love it, but it simply wasn't for me.

If you are needing a game to kill some time, this game is that game. There is multiple ups but also multiple downs. No loading screens, fully open world, always something different. But lack of store or purpose to do much.

For a game that offers as much content as it purports, very little of it is meaningful or original. The game is gorgeous at first, but just blends into itself over and over again as you trudge from system to system. The repetition becomes dull and sometimes downright enraging as you farm resources and juggle severe inventory restrictions. Such high hopes for this game were quickly dashed. Would not recommend.

...but I just couldn't. I spent a fair amount of time in this game (probably over 50 hours or so) and it just became way too repetitive for my liking. I loved the music and the look of the game. It's a game I've always wanted, but executed poorly. The ability to jump into a ship from the solid ground, fly up and out of the atmosphere and into space? I've always wanted to do that in a game, and it feels amazing! Once you're in space you realize there's nothing else to do however. I lost interest.

For the most part this game was a victim of its own hype, which everyone is to blame here. Sony, Hello Games, the media, & of course the Fans. But I made sure to keep my expectations in check because I know the game was never going to meet that level of hype. Unfortunately, while I was patient, I ultimately found the game boring and tedious. I feel like 20 hours in I had seen everything the game had to show me. While generally it looks good the pop-up issues drove me crazy & breaks the immersion. Some of this maybe fixed with future patches, but There's too many choices out here to continue to waste my time on this one.

There was so much hype and pulled an EA games. It's fun to mess around with but eventually you get bored out with repetition. It's space flight is always fun though. Worth having in your collection if it's dirt cheap

The game is very very pretty, but definitely lacking in substance. It's nice if you need an escape for a little while but has little to no story line. It's almost hard to play for more than a couple of hours at a time.

I did not get on the hype train at all before this came out, but expected a lot more from the small amount if info I heard about it. Let's just say that after 5 hours max, you have seen the whole game. Wash and repeat.

While I was smart in waiting to get this game. I feel I missed out on what was so bad about this game pretty patch. That being said the game is almost minecraft like in it's core design. If you like exploring and building you'll like this game since it's newly been patched.
