Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the exploration, planets, open world, and universe size in No Man’s Sky, frequently citing the vastness and enjoyment of exploring the game's many planets and universe. However, many find the gameplay repetitive and lacking in content, with some also criticizing the game's story and value for the price. The sheer scale of the game's universe is a major draw for many players, but this is often offset by concerns about repetitive gameplay mechanics.

Fun game, but repetitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had really high hopes for this game, and in some ways it delivers. It's a lot of fun, being able to explore so much and do whatever you want. However, the upgrade system is boring, and the planets (though randomly generated) seem to get pretty repetitive. Even though they're all "unique" you find 3-4 general planet types that only vary in color. Still fun, but gets old quickly.

Good game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, this game was way too hyped up when it first released. Since then it has gotten more and more content. It is probably now the game that the people wanted when it came out in 2016. I enjoyed it for what it was, a planet exploration game, but now you can build your own base and freighters. It's good overall but personally I don't think I can jump back into it anymore. There are too many other good games to play! I would recommend this to any space enthusiast though.

A very big game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i have enjoyed my time playing No Mans Land so far. The planets are huge and distinctive. IT has been fun to explore but also a little overwhelming too. Beyond the exploration and finding new planets and creatures it is hard to see what else is the big draw. I really was looking forward to this game but i do not think I have the time to devote to this game to really feel as if I have accomplished the goal of the game.

Expansive. But dreadfully plain.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do quite like the idea of an expansive universe in which I may explore. But the game just bores me. I don't even want to try to play beyond 15 minute intervals. The art direction and the colors are interesting, but not exciting. I've played for a few hours and I just didn't even notice what is going on nor do I seem to care to notice. :( I feel like I am doing something wrong to not enjoy such a promising game.

Zen Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have read any reviews about the game then you know the terrible reviews, the refunds, etc. IMO this is not a game but more like a pass time. I really like flying through the space and exploring new planets. This is what the games is, nothing more nothing less. It helps me relax and zones me out. So I would recommend this not as a game but more like something to relax or do while thinking about other stuff.

Great time exploring.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you read anything about the game before its release you're probably gonna be disappointed. But at its base exploring new worlds, trying to identify all the life forms can be fun but only for a while. Thanks to a recent update the game is evolving to include more game styles, base building, and new items to purchase. If you can get it at a low cost this game is amazing. $60 was just too high an entry point.

Its different, but good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is for sure worth 25 bucks. I really enjoyed the first couple of hours that I played, but it seems to be repetitive the more you play. It boasts that it is an infinite universe, well yes and no. There is for sure a lot to explore, but each planet has very similar structures and objectives. It is very much something you are unlikely to find elsewhere and for that I would give this a buy.

Great attempt to a potentially great game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No man's sky attempted a huge feat, generating a MASSIVE universe to explore at your own pace. While that is great, you explore on foot to gather materials to sell or craft items to upgrade your suit, ship or gun. You then explore at your own pace, or jump to the next system. Rinse-repeat. While it can feel tedious, I'd recommend considering everything there is to do in the game, and to play in short bursts. Attempting to explore what, 18-quintillion planets?, in a few hours would probably get boring.

Has potential
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game has some potential but there isn't much to do,therefore it gets repetitive and it's a bit a boring. You're mostly exploring space and some times more so aimless lay than anything. Wish this was a multiplayer game. Maybe part two will address the endless space to bore yourself through. The game is more so relaxing with some action on the side. So sometimes this won't fit your adrenaline needs.

Great Game for the casual explorer in you
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this game didn't pan out to be what they promised it to be. It's still a great exploration game none the less. I for one wanted to travel in space when I was a kid. Finding different planets and such. It may not be what they said it was, but I am still on the first planet with over 100 hours trying to explore and reach every single ops center/manufacturing/settlement there is. I just take my time and enjoy it for what it is. Will I ever beat this game, probably not, but its a great time killer.

Good Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game looks great and was really hyped up before release but after playing it. It didn't live up to the hype but don't get me wrong it isn't a bad game if you like exploring the galaxy by yourself at your own pace. And visiting new planets. But that is it you explore and uprgrade your suit and ship to become better equipped for what is out there. There is no rush to the center of the universe

Expansive game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game had high ambitions and created a world that is ever growing. Which is its downfall. The game is simply too big, make one mistake and the whole experience is ruined and simply starting over is not an option I would take. It is fun for awhile but does get old after you realize everything kind of looks the same over and over and over again.

A lot of hype, somewhat of a letdown
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been waiting years to immerse myself into the infinite universe of No Man's Sky. After 50+ hours exploring beautiful vast worlds, a lot of the planets started to blur together and became very repetitive. Much praise goes to Hello Games for working with so little and delivering a solid space exploration game, even if some of the features promised didn't end up in the final cut.

Not what the developer promised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello games really hyped this game up and spoke of many features that don't exist in game. The gameplay is fun but it gets repetitive real quick. I would not recommend this game if you are expecting what hello games claimed. If you are into a fairly cool space exploration and survival game then give it a shot.

Walking Sim
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A mixture of minecraft, and sci-fi adventure games, what starts off fun and breathtaking starts to become tedious. With only a bare minimum in story, you kind of have to create your own. But don't get me wrong, some of the mechanics are fun, learning new alien language, buying ships, collecting resources. Just be prepared for a steep initial learning curve to get the hang of it.

Jaw-dropping scale, but limited gameplay
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first time you take off from your starting planet, exit the atmosphere into space, engage warp drive toward the next closest planet, enter that planet's atmosphere, and land your spaceship....and then realize that there are an endless number of planets in the galactic sandbox that is this game, your mind will be rightly blown. That alone is worth the price of admission. Unfortunately, other than that experience, this game doesn't have a whole lot else going for it.

Interesting but incomplete
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoyed he game the first few days, but it became a bit of a grind after a while. The concept was great and the infinite amount of planets you can visit is amazing, but there is no story. It was a bit buggy to start as well. I hope they'll eventually add content and a story, but for now it's a 3 star review because I did have a lot of fun for the first 20 or so hours.

I love this game but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The scope of the game is grand. The exploration is immense. The visuals can be mesmerizing. The discovery is incredible and I loved this game until I came to the realization that there was no story mode to compel you to continue exploring. Maybe with future updates a story mode could make this become something truly amazing. For now I will have to rate as average.
