Phone build is excellent. Some minor software issues. RAM and multitasking not up to par with equivalent mid range phones.

The box the phone comes in is nothing special. Inside you have the phone, charger and cable, Sim ejector tool, nondescript headphones and standard literature. The phone itself is beautiful. Solid aluminum body with a matte paint finish that helps to reduce some of the slippery feel and blends well with the antenna at the top and bottom of the phone. The copper accents are a nice touch and contribute to a feeling of a premium phone. The fingerprint sensor is small and sometimes hard to find. Thanks screen is good indoors but really struggles in full sunlight. The 630 chip handles most tasks. (I use my phone mainly for work.) I do not notice the stutter some have mentioned. The cameras (front & back) are good, thought they struggle in low light situations (even with the pro mode engaged). Seems to be a very good buy for the money. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and really like it. I would definitely recommend this phone.

The phone was solid. I had the 3.1 and liked it so decided to try the 6.1. The phone was fine and got the job done but I ultimately felt I needed more from my phone. If you just need a phone to walk around and occasionally push it to do more, this is a perfect phone. No need to spend on more expensive phones if you just need something to be a phone. The phone felt nice but it felt difficult to keep it from scuffing.

I wanted an Android again but couldn't find an LG or Samsung within my price range or one I liked. Glad to have a third option. Screen size is perfect for me as I hate large phones. I like that it is square edges it's is easier to grasp. And not so thin. Camera is good as well and so is battery life. Only complaint is my camera has very little space and the phone heats up if in use while charging. Other than that I love it

Perfect design with latest OS and updates, awesome camera with quality sound and display. Proximity sensor seems to lag in turning screen on after call us over - but may be due to plastic cover. Overall great phone for the price.

This is one of the most solid phones we purchased here non flagship. We needed a dual SIM phone for travel to Africa and this fit the bill. Very good camera and Android One has worked very well. And it does include a headphone jack which is very important. Well worth the money and a good buy.

Good speed, big screen, better camera, decent storage... great pone for this price. This has a slot for additional storage too. Gold rim is the best, aluminium back plate is strong. Like it a lot...!!!

Started with a big stumble: 1st unit I got utterly froze 2 hours after SIM activation (!). Painless exchange 24 hours later, and that unit is performing flawlessly to date. Nokia's commitment to 2 years of Android updates was a strong tipping point, the solid physical build of the phone also a strong factor.

Needed unlocked phone that didn't cast a fortune. Torn between this and the Moto G6, both very well reviewed. The two things that swayed me were the fact that the case on the G6 is glass (what were they THINKING???!!!) and that the Nokia was reported to have better battery life. I don't like using a case, said to be essential w/ the Moto, and need all the battery life I can get, so my decision was made. The Nokia case is made out of a single block of milled aluminum and feels EXTREMELY solid. Its square rather than rounded edges, as others have pointed out, are a bit uncomfortable to hold over a long period of time, but even though I have small hands for a man, it's really not terrible. And I usually have about 65-75% battery left at the end of the day...OUTSTANDING! The latest Android version w/out all the bloatware is nice as well.

The phone itself is solidly built with an aluminum case, and seems more expensive than it is. Have had it for 3 months now and haven't had any major issues with it for calling and texting. There are some issues with getting things stored on the micro SD card that I added. Not sure if this is an Android One issue or a problem with the phone (e.g. can't seem to get pictures to automatically save to the micro SD card like I have been able to do with an older Android phone - the settings do not seem to have that option). Also, there are some apps that do not seem to work (the majority of apps seem fine) - they install okay, but then do not launch properly. Same results even after uninstalling and then reinstalling several times. Note that these same apps worked fine on my older Android phone. Overall the phone is fine for me since I primarily got it for calling and texting. Have not had any reception issues and the call quality is good. The battery is typically down around 20% (80%remaining) after each day of minimal use.

    There's Better Options

After reading all the expert reviews and going over the info on Bestbuy's and Nokia's websites I thought I was making a good purchase. First the good....Feels well built and sturdy, screen is very bright, looks like a very upscale device.....Android One assures timely updates.....the spec sheet is good...but... Now the bad.....of that 32gb of rom, 1/2 is used by the phone and even though it says in the literature you can expand the memory you can't....all the SD card is used for is pictures and media...everything else goes on the internal memory. So after a few apps this is full...just like 2013's Kit Kat.... their Nokia Care agents say that it will "break the device" so "Google decided not to enable it"....Call quality is just so so as it drops connection to AT&T... the bottom speaker is too easily covered by your hand...there's almost zero cases or screen protectors and it drops frames when playing some games... At this price point($200+$300 range) there are better choices...Motorola G6 and the Samsung J7 come to mind....And I'm sure there are others too....So this will be getting returned and I will be getting one of the others....

I broken my I phone on waiting on my replacement. So i decided to but this one Nokia - 6.1 . Likes: 5.5" IPS touch screen AndroidOne OS Dual SIM Dislikes: 32GBs of internal storage after systems updates uses 50% of storage. No apps but google stuff, per-installed. Week later no complicates at all. Great back up phone or daily user. Nokia is making a comeback.

This phone is a good inexpensive choice for entering the smartphone arena. I had read many reviews before I chose it and was still a little skeptical about certain things mentioned in those other reviews. One of the things was the camera operation. It was said that the camera is slow and the quality is not very good; true the camera is slower in automatic mode. Use manual settings and then it works quicker. Also with manual settings, you can choose to improve the quality if you know about photography.I also read that the speaker quality was not very good, the phone did not get very loud. I found that its speaker quality and volume level are quite adequate. I love the fingerprint reader. There are many other features that I enjoy about the phone, but suffice it to say I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Love the phone so far. 32GB is small, but I added a SD card for only $25. It doesn't let you use the SD card as internal storage, but some apps allow you to store your media directly on a mounted SD card which is good enough for me. It can lag slightly on some applications, but nothing that really holds you up. For the price it gets the job done, actually looks really nice and seem to hold up to daily life well. If you don't need to buy into the flagship hype, you will be very happy with this phone!
