Too expensive to not work

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used the treadmill for 4 days and the 4th day my incline broke it no longer worked I called nordictrack and now I have to wait for a technician to come and repair my machine. But we have to wait for the part to be shipped.

WE are sorry that the treadmill did not fit in your space. NordicTrack sells a variety of treadmills in multiple sizes. The Commercial 2950 is one of our larger models.

Nordic Track is a great Product, Best Buy is AWFUL

The PRIMARY issue with this is that the Best Buy team that installed it, KNOWINGLY installed a defective piece of equipment and left it with the consumer. This is UNACCEPTABLE behavior on the part of Best Buy.

Treadmill 2950

Commercial 2950 treadmill

Control panel takes some time to figure out how to navigate. Biggest issue is noise, when operating at speeds starting around 4 mph, there is an thumping sound coming from the belt area that gets louder as you increase speed. Treadmill is heavy so unless you have at least 2 adults relatively in shape, recommend you pay extra to have crew carry it in and assemble. Treadmill seems solidly constructed. Other than this have had no other issues so far.

Overpriced garbage.

There are not many brands out there with as poor post-sales service as NordicTrack. If I had written a review 1 month after buying mine, it'd be 5 stars. But after 6 months, it deserves 0 stars. First the good: The machine itself is OK - if you are cross shopping a Peloton Tread or the other big box store brands, the iFit integration is actually wonderful and will make you enjoy running. It's much better than a trainer in a studio a la Peloton where you have to manually adjust your speed/incline during the run. If you get lucky and your 2950 doesn't have quality issues, you'll think the internet is a crazy place where you can't trust any reviews because this treadmill is awesome. But, there's a strong chance you will have issues, and that's where the nightmares will begin. I can accept parts shortages right now, but that's not the problem. Support is slow to respond, sometimes they do not respond. When they do, it's only to keep the ticket you opened from aging/escalating and not to actually help. You'll have to fight them tooth and nail to convince support you had a device failure. Once you do, you'll then have to fight them to send a tech out for the repair, even if the repair is complex. After that is the fight to have it scheduled sooner than 3 months out. And, there will be multiple failures. They did not engineer these machines for durability. It's like they're hoping most people buy it, use it lightly and never have problems, or buy it and have issues after the warranty expires. Do your research, and if this is one you purchase, definitely buy an extended warranty or you'll end up with a giant piece of e-waste.

Poor quality - Not worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this in August of 2020 from Best Buy. One year and 5 months later is does not work safely. I bought this thinking that the larger motor and larger price tag equaled a longer lasting product. The labor warranty is only one year so now I am faced with paying $160 minimum trip charge to just diagnose the issue. The treadmill is literally starting from a complete stop to full speed instantaneously. I tried to upload a video but this site does not allow video files. It is an extremely dangerous problem. I tried calling NordicTrack but they don't answer their support number. They just push you to chat/email where they either do not respond or show no regard for the gravity of this problem. Save your money and buy a different treadmill.

Horrible machine, worse customer service.

The console has been repeatedly malfunctioning, asking for an update and resetting. It adjusts the incline on its own, without pressing buttons. The fans stopped working. They sent us a replacement console with broken pieces. They refuse to simply send out a technician to solve the problem. We have sunk over 20 hours into assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, troubleshooting and speaking with customer support. In short, DO NOT BUY THIS TREADMILL. I would recommend any company besides NordicTrack. On top of all this, they sent me a survey asking to rate their machine. When I typed out a scathing review, the site wouldn’t let me post it! So I’m going to post it here, instead.

Not worth the money. Buy a cheap one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I encountered a dangerous flaw in this product barely over the 1 year warranty period. My treadmill will stop completely and then immediately run at the highest speed. This almost knocked me off the treadmill and it caused me to sprain my ankle trying not to fall off. Customer service wants to charge $160. Beware of the 2 year warranty. $160 just to diagnose a problem. If it is a hardware, motor, etc. problem you still have to pay outrageous fees to get it worked on. This looks very bad for a big name like Nordic Track for a premier product that cost me over $3,000. There is no way a product that expensive should last so short. Keep i mind I am not large (165lbs). My wife is smaller than me and we primarily run on it during the winter months as we prefer to run outside. Get a cheaper treadmill. This is not worth the money.
