Always loved this movie. Had to get it this DVD again as my first set got damaged. It’s perfect for enlightening one on history which leads to a better understanding of why things transpired, the end result of conflict between two divided opinions on how the world should be and why each side thought what they was doing was right

This series follows two friends during their enlistment in the army pre civil war. Their friendship develops through bootcamp and then is tested when civil war breaks out. Coupled with a tragic love story this show had me binge watching till the end. It is an older show that I grew up watching with my mother and wanted to go back in my adult years to watch it again, I enjoyed it even more now.

If you’re a fan of this show then you’ll definitely want to own this collection. I remember watching the series way back when and it’s just as good today as it was then. Episodes are very long though, watch with plenty of time on hand!

I watched this mini-series when it first came out. It has a wonderful storyline with the history of the Civil War. It shows how both sides felt they were in the right. I highly recommend it!!!

Love this miniseries and had a hunger to watch it again after seeing interviews with some of the actors. Glad I could get it from Bedt Buy and very pleased!

I got this my friends birthday as she’s a huge Patrick Swayze fan & the show being for the 80s has a great cast & better acting than many shows these days

Looked for item at several sites ie.@ amazon.com etc. But Bestbuy.com had item at a more economical price, including shipping. Would refer a friend. I really enjoyed seeing North and South again!

I watched this as a young teen and loved it when it was on tv in the mid 1980's. Watched all 8 discs in 4 nights and realized I still love it!!!!!

I loved the North & South saga, especially Chapter one [of 3]. Great story, beautiful scenery & costumes. A good look at America before, during & after the Civil War. And the price is fabulous!

A gripping tale of the war between the States. Really gave insight into the personnel struggles on both sides.

Great historical film about one of the worst periods in American history.

Had to replace my old vhs tapes as they are very worn and the tape placers are getting very scares. They are our favorites videos.

I had never seen the movie. My wife had & was watching a part of it on TV. I decided to buy it so I could watch it beginning to end.

I saw it the price point was excellent and I am enjoying an old classic on my DVDs player.

This was a great mini series when it was on tv. Now I can watch it at my leisure.

Great story about family and the hardships that they face during the civil war era.
