I saw this movie one back in the 90's. I was impressed. I have seen it few times since then so I decided to buy it and add it to my DVD collection. I am glad that I did.

This movie is a classic. One of the better movies.

I initially arranged for delivery of 2 movies and an in-store pick-up of another. I converted the in-store pick-up to delivery, but discovered Best Buy simply canceled the 3rd film. I'd like you guys to succeed, but this is the kind of problem that doesn't occur with Amazon. They make the purchase experience reliably smooth. Your web service appears disjointed and was ineffective for me.

First of all , the 50th anniversary packaging . It is in the form of a small book about 43 plus pages of background on Alfred Hitchcock and each of the key actors in the movie . The Blu Ray disc is neatly concealed in the back cover of the book . Second , the remastered disc is absolutly amazing in clarity and the colors jump out at you . Finally , this is Alfred Hitchcock at his finest . He can illicit emotional responces from his audiences through various camera angles , background shots , close ups and simple facial expressions without the use of a lot of fancy special effects . Cary Grant , Eva Marie Saint , James Mason , well their performances added to this roller coaster of a suspence thiller . One of the best classics out there .There are about 2 plus hours of extras on this disc worth checking out . Great movie , well worth adding to your collection.

The Blu ray itself "North by Northwest" is a great film. Stylishly directed with a wry sense of humor and great direction and classic actions set pieces, including the aircropper sequence. The acting is superb by Cary Grant, Eve Marie Saint and James Mason. The problem is that on my blu ray player the Blu ray does not load onto the main menu with the audio/video/extra materials markers. I cannot access the supplemental information. The Blu Ray of North by Northwest simply starts playing the film... MY Blu ray player is not a stripped down one, but a Panasonic and this is the first film where I cannot access the main menu. When I try to have the "pop up menu" come up per my player or the main menu, the Blu ray simply reloads and plays the movie again with no menus. I returned the Blu ray once and had it replaced but apparently the problem was still with the second Blu ray.

This is my first Hitchcock film to own on blu-ray. I haven't really seen a lot of his movies, just Psycho, The Birds, and maybe a few episodes of his TV series, but I've always been interested in exploring his work and this purchase does not disappoint. This was actually my first time seeing NBNW and it was everything that I expected, thrilling, humorous, and cerebral. The blu-ray transfer looks amazing on my 55", the perilous final scenes look grand, the colors are vivid throughout, and the audio seems fine as well. This is a great start to a Hitchcock blu-ray collection!

What could arguably be one of the top movies ever made for all-in-all entertainment value, this is Hitchcock at probably his best. While "Psycho" is still my favorite of his films, this movie represents a different viewing entertainment. Everything in the movie works. The cast, direction, production, story...everything works perfectly and this blu-ray is the best it has all looked, maybe ever. Good extras included, plus a nice blu-ray book packaging, this a must own version for a movie collection.

North by Northwest is one of Alfred Hitchcock's greatest films (in my opinion better than Psycho) it has a fantastic cast, score, cinematography, and lot of memorable scenes. How the special features are just OK they contain a documentary and some trailers. However this film is highly, highly recomended!

North by Northwest is a must-have release for many regardless of the film's picture and audio quality. The film's original monaural presentation which has been expanded into a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround track here and the video presentation make this a definite buy even fro those that already own the DVD version.

I love this movie and its great that its on blu-ray. The quality and sound is great and it is a must-have for any Hitchcock or movie buffs. I hope all the old classics continue to make their way onto blu-ray.

Classic, stylish, charming caper. Hitchcock, Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint. Fun to look back and revisit this film.
