We have the Hollywood Kettle Popper- got it for Christmas from the grandparents to my son. Finally tried to use it tonight. Followed all directions. it was on, directions were followed, plug was in, oil was hot. The only thing that this did was burn popcorn, leave 90% of the kernels unpopped, and make not even enough to cover the bottom of the drawer after 10 minutes. This is the worst thing my family has ever paid $100 for. This product is terrible, and my 3-year-old son went into hysterics when it didn't work the way it was advertised. There was no "hot popcorn BURSTING" through the top of the kettle. There were a few anemic pops, a few burnt kernels and a major letdown for a toddler. Really ruined our movie night. The only thing it's good for is a paperweight.

I did not know my local Best Buy, had these in stock, I was shooping with my kids and we happened to spot this. They were not going to let me leave the store without this, as I had been promising them this for a while now. Well we were not dissapointed!! It is really cool as we can personalize it with the the provided decals. We turn the lights out and we have an instant movie house feel! Any pocorn kernals will work fine, but for that "authentic movie theatre" taste, splurge and get the gourmet, or "movie" pocorn kernals online. I would recommend you to wipe it down after a couple of batches of popcorn, as although the kettle part is removable, it can be a little tedious to clean if too much oil is built up, also the caseing also can build up a lot of oil as well :-( Either way this will be a big hit with children, and popcorn lovers alike!
