Super convenient way to make a tasty snack. I much prefer this over air-popped popcorn because it ends up crispier, albeit not as healthy. I don't really use the bowl to eat it after, because I add stuff to my popcorn that could stain the plastic, but I can see how it'd be very convenient to just flip and eat. Cleaning is also much easier than those popcorn-cart-like things, so all in all, it's a pretty good product.

Tips: If you're using standard sized yellow kernels then I'd only pop 2 servings at a time not the 3 maximum, It comes out chewy with the maximum amount. Butter will burn if it's not purified but you can use ghee (pre-purified shelf stable butter). Pop the corn under your vent hood and turn the fan on to minimize smells in your home. Hold the cover up until the the kernels start to pop to vent as much steam as possible. Use slightly less oil than the full table spoon so the oil traps less moisture in the popped corn. Use popcorn salt, fine ground salt or grind your salt finer with a mortar and pestle or coffee grinder. It's much better than and air popper or those plastic/glass microwave poppers. Perhaps only a Theater Style popper would be better than this type, I just didn't have the counter or floor space for one of those. Overall I'm happy I purchased it and will keep it. Cheers!

This is a great popper. Was looking for something that was dishwasher safe, and this fit the need. The hot plate portion of the popper can be removed from the base and placed right in the dishwasher...fantastic! The only con is you have to be quick to turn it off when the popping is done, as the popped kernels can burn quicker than I'm seen with past poppers...but a big deal, just need to expect that and all is well.

I use this popper almost daily to pop microwave popcorn. Yes, that sounds stupid, but I prefer the taste of this popper to microwaved popcorn, and by removing the corn and oils from the microwave corn bag, I get the best corn ever. Easy. Delicious. Fast. Easy to clean. Plus, I can spice my popcorn how I want as it is cooking. The best feature is the on/off switch. Never had that on any other model ever and this is super convenient!

Full losd popped fairly quickly. Very few unpopped kernels even though the corn is nearly a year old. I am still experimenting with the oil. The recommended smount is a bit too much

You will thank yourself for picking up this popcorn maker! It is quick and easy to use, and it tastes like being at the movie theaters, with the added bonus of it being a lot healthier!

The design of this is much better than our first Stir Crazy unit. Love that you can clean the base plate as it is removable from the heating element. The lid/bowl seems more durable than the one on the Stir Crazy which cracked within the first year of use. We are enjoying this popcorn popper very much!

If you love popcorn, it’s definitely worth getting. Not all kernels get popped, but I don’t know any popcorn poppers that do. Cleaning it can be a pain, but don’t let that deter you.

Great popcorn machine with easy cleanup and only takes a few minutes to work. I love the design where the top becomes a bowl too!

This popper does its job well, leaving few "old maids" (unpopped kernals) at the bottom of the kettle top. It is handy that they two provided plastic spoons one each for measuring the amount of popcorn and the amount of butter/oil. I thought it was a bit pricey, but that's yet to be determined. My last popper, a $22 model of some brand I bought on Amazon lasted only 6 months. It's easy to clean and convenient to store it all together as pictured.

Popcorn taste fresh and home made, versus microwave. Fast and efficient!!

Worked for only 5 months to the day it was delivered, stirring mechanism stopped working and when I tip the unit I can hear the nut rattle inside - no way to open it up & re-attach, Hot plate is not wide enough to come over the unit-too small and oil drips down into the heat element area, oil makes it way into the hole where the stirring cap is and drips down into the heat element area, stirring cap came off after a month, screw is so small it comes lose. Worked great for about a month though!
