I really wanted to love these headphones. "Sound tripping" is an important de-stressor for me after my long 12 hour shifts at the hospital. It helps me unwind and sleep. The headphones sound awesome, ill give it that. But its not the best. My old Audio Technica M50x seemed to sound better. The nuraphones are superior in sound presence though. The immersion mode cranked up to front row is crazy and will impress anybody at first use. But its overkill to set it as a default at all times. I feel like these headphones are a little gimmicky; almost anyone will be impressed when they experience setting up their profile for the first time. Listening to the difference between generic and personalized is something to behold and hearing skull shattering bass without sacrificing mids and highs is unprecedented in performance.. but after the setup process... the love goes downhill. Comfort is a big drawback for me. Any activity besides sitting down made these headphones not so comfortable. They are heavy and the metal parts can get caught in your skin and hair especially when laying down; Walking at fast paces makes u feel the eartip f#cking ur ear canal as you move. Cant imagine taking it out for a workout. The carrying case, although beautiful and sturdy, takes up a lot of space to be discreet. These headphones have no power button. They automatically turn on when you wear them. That sounds cool and all, but im concerned what happens if it fails. I think thats kinda over-engineered in that aspect. Speaking of buttons, it only has touch controls in each side and they get touched accidentally too many times than id like especially when im just trying to adjust the headband. Ive returned them and settled with the Sony WH 1000XM3s and have no regrets. The Sony's are more comfortable, portable and versitile. Nuraphones, no one else does what you do so i hate to see you guys fail. Hopefully a better model is on the works. If i was any richer id keep mine... but i needed something more than just "stay at home" headphones for that price point.

The Nuraphones are the best headphones I have ever purchased! If you're a music lover like myself, spend the extra cash to get these, please. You will not regret it! Normally I would never spend this much on headphones, regardless of the fact that I bought these on sale for $100 off (still pricey), but I've heard awesome things about them that I had to try them out for myself. And let me tell you that they are worth it, I promise you! When I first tried the Nuraphones my jaw literally dropped at how incredible you hear, I'm even going to say FEEL music. Hearing tunes through these are at another level because you could hear sounds and such that you've never heard before, you hear more than what you previously did because the device adapts to you and how you hear things. I'm not even kidding! How impressive is that?! Nothing beats it. Even with your surroundings when you toggle the noise cancellation (which is fantastic)/social mode on/off at how clear you hear someone else speak or even hear a pin drop. My mind was blown! I've never had an experience with headphones like these before, and I still get to experience at how extraordinary they are every time I use them. And also setup was a breeze and connectivity through different devices is so easy whenever I want to hear music on something else other than my phone. I've tried many headphones over the years and the Nuraphones are the best quality headphones my ears has had the pleasure to be subjected to. For instance, I have Beats wireless headphones and comparing them to the Nuraphones is such a huge difference that the Beats have a cheap quality sound to them when comparing the two (and believe me when I say I compared them side by side), sorry to say. Another thing, I usually don't like in-ear headphones because they get annoying in my ears, though I have a pair that I keep in my bag/purse for just in case since they're small, but the Nuraphones (which are a combination of over-the-ear and in-ear headphones) are comfortable in and on my ears and also when you adjust the ear cups to your head/liking. And yes, they're a little heavier than the Beats, but they're still more comfortable to wear for a long period of time than the Beats (at least for me). My ears, especially my left ear (for some reason), would start to hurt whenever I used the Beats or any other headphones (maybe because of the pressure on my ears) after an hour that I would have to give my aching ears a break. With the Nuraphones I could use them for hours and they won't bother me. I'm hoping Nuraphones would make true wireless earbuds one of these days so I could have small headphones that are as amazing as these headphones, but in my bag that I could carry with me on the go. (By the way, when reading a review here, just to get it straight that the Nuraphones are not for working out; no over-the-ear/on-ear headphones are - maybe if they're the behind the neck and they're lightweight - you'd need in-ear/earbud headphones only if you want a more comfortable workout.) I don't know how much praise I can give the Nuraphones. Just try them out for yourself and you'll be in love with music all over again. That's how I feel with these headphones; I use them pretty much everyday and I still love them more and more I use them! Remarkable purchase, happy music lover!!

These headphones are phenomenal! I am writing this review exactly a year after purchasing them. Here is my review after having them this long. The packaging is super high quality. The case is worth like $75 itself. I wish it came with a 3.5mm jack to plug it up to non-bluetooth devices. but the chord is $20 sold separate. Setup. The app set up and Tune to your ear feature really did blow me away and its quick and easy. The Immersion mode is really awesome to get a ton of extra bass. I have listened to almost every song I've every heard over and over again on these headphones. Old music that I love sounds different and better on these headphones. It changes the way I hear music. The clarity and punch is out of this world. I use these for gaming. (singleplayer, not online communication) I might be the only one that does this, but I have hooked these up to my PC and have the game audio come through these. I wish Nura would make a Windows app to control the immersion level and other settings. BUT, the bass on these rattle from the sound of explosions and they really up the immersion in shooter and adventure games. My only con is that they are not the best for active activities, like working out or just working outside or cleaning around the house. They are a little heavier than other headphones, so they tend to slip around, but that be because I have thick and long hair and a big head. But other than that, they are really comfortable to me and I can have them on for hours at the computer and be comfortable the whole time. I love the Nura headphones and I absolutely recommend them!

Absolutely the best sound experience I've ever had

I had been eyeing these for a while, reading reviews, watching unboxing and reaction videos. When I'd finally saved enough money and pulled the trigger, I was not disappointed. The immersion level produced is like being in the front row, and switching between hearing profiles others create testing out your headphones (because they will want to) drives home exactly how much everyone hears differently and why tuning them to you is so important. The noise cancellation feature is the best in the industry. I work and commute in downtown Portland where there is extensive construction going on and I can walk past a site with no noise interference, and switching to social mode with a tap on the headphones to hear music and conversation is amazing. The only con I find is the controls to tap the headphones for different functions only works when connected over bluetooth, and the cost for 3.5 cables or a lightning cable for listening wired.

The sound is excellent if the bass is around half. If you turn it up its garbage. The nubs in the ears and weight of the headphones cause extreme discomfort after 30 minutes and I have to take them off. Very cool idea but I don't prefer my sound profile and I'd prefer an EQ.

I read the reviews, the marketing information and thought I knew what to expect, but it performed better than my other audio systems costing several times more than the headset on special Deal of the Day pricing. My only caveat with the statement above is that if a listener has medium listening issues (eardrum damage) then the headphones won't detect and modify output to eliminate side effects found in the source music/dialogue playback from what I experienced. Great for some, but unfortunately not for all!

Not once have I had headphones that really make you feel the music. I've used the Sony WH-1000xm3's and I loved them... But I was still wanting more out of them. I was already set on getting these from the very start, but I settled because of price. But once these got on sale I immediately returned them and got the Nuraphones!! I absolutely love these headphone and I can honestly say that they are so worth the price! I do not find discomfort in the ear cups as others have complained. So in my opinion they are great and very worth the try! Like I said love them great job Nura!

BLUTOOTH range poor. EXTREMELY noisy when walking around the room as l could hear my foot steps. Fit poorly when when l moved my head up or down they would slip and had to be readjusted. Cans/enclosures painful after 5 minutes and hot causing sweat. RETURNED TO STORE AND PURCHASED SONY 1000MX3

These are by far the best headphones I’ve ever owned, they are perfect for if you want a private home theater, or if you just want to jam out, they rumble and you can control that, it’s an amazing sensation. Now for the bad, directly after the 1 year warranty of these ran out they had a disconnection issue and now won’t connect, just make a noise and then glitch out. Contacted nura and they offered a 20% off code for another pair, no fix. This shouldn’t happen to a pair of 300-400$ headphones. Be aware and by the Best Buy warranty, this is ridiculous. Quality is good one the headphones other than this issue, but since the cups are silicon they get hard to clean. Value would be amazing for 300$ because of the battery, the amount of control you have over the sound plus the war scan tech. And then the ease of use is basically airpods that go over ear.
