Beast of a card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying this card is a monster. I know they have the 1080TI with 11g of ram that will outperform the GTX FE.. but for a lot of us that card is way over the top. The GTX FE has amazing FPS and will literally wow you with it's ability to bring such realism to the screen.... Discaimer.....please check your CPU/GPU combo for bottlenecks this card is so fast it will put some older CPU under load trying to keep up with the GPU......now that's a fast card!. If paired with the right CPU with adequate ram.........WOW!...be prepared to be amazed

A Monster!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nvidia GTX 1080 is everything I ever wanted in a graphics card and more. Its quiet, keeps cooler, and performs admirably on full load!!! The gtx 1080 is quiet simply a beast, as it allows me to game in todays todays hottest games in 4k at 50hz to 60hz fps without a hitch. I just disable antialiasing in games cuz who really needs it at 4k resolution (the pixels are smaller). Get this card! Don't settle for less!!!

Does its job well but you hear it churning away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What's left to be said about the FE of the 1080 architecture? It's a great card for 1440p, probably overkill at 1080p, but it's not a 4K monster--if you want to run AAA titles with all settings at Ultra in 4K, this probably won't quite cut it, at least not without dipping low enough in FPS to look like a slideshow. I have two running in SLI for a 1440p ultrawide--but the auto-configs on a few of the most recent titles still don't always max out at every setting or keep the framerates deep into the 100s when I do force all settings to max. While I'm not quite at 4K, using DSR to render at 4K definitely makes the framerate take a nosedive on something like Wolfenstein II or Shadow of War. Sure, I could run some tweaks, make some custom fan profiles, and OC for a few more FPS, but by and large, this card is ALMOST, just not quite, the giant killer you might be hoping for if you're gaming with graphics-intensive titles released in the last half year or so. Still, if you have a 1080p or 1440p monitor, one of these alone should keep you happily gaming for a few years to come before you're likely going to start feeling the itch again. Just be aware that the blowers can get LOUD depending on your rig; at 3440x1440 ultrawide, I definitely notice the fans running even on some not-so-demanding titles from a few years back. Still, better that air gets shot out the back than just pushed around inside the case I suppose. All in all, it's a worthy purchase if you can find one, just be aware that it's not quite the top of the heap.

Fast, Cheap, Looks Good, Free Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Install is east. Mine was a little more difficult because I have a micro ATX case and the card is big. 400 fps in CSGO.

Good solid graphics card for 3D modeling/Animation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know that most people will be looking for the gaming reviews, however, I am a 3D modeler and animator and rarely get to find a review that suits me. I use Autodesk Maya, Realflow, Mudbox, and 3D Photoshop among many other resource hog softwares and the first piece of hardware that falls weak for me is my GPU. Poly count and particles are taxing when the numbers are high and I often find myself using display layers when working in a scene. This severely limits my ability to see the entire scene or effect. So far, I have not reached this limit in the 3 to 4 weeks that I have owned this card and I am super excited about the possibilities! The price was very fair and I would most definitely suggest this to other 3D artists!!!

Awesome Graphics Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although no Aftermarket versions were in stock, I went ahead and tried the Founders Edition. With MSI Afterburner you can tweak fan curves, and overclock with ease if you feel the need to get your nerd on for those few extra frames per second. By far beats my old RX 480 card, a must have for those that like to play at ultra settings. Even at stock setting for novice users this card really performs well. Install, download then gaming in under 20 minutes.

Great GPU for the avid gamer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is beast, handles every game I throw at it with ease. This is overkill for 1080p monitors and perfect for that person who wants to run ultra setting on 1440p monitor. Easy to over clock, and no hiccups with installation of drivers or software

GTX Upgraded
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace the EVGA GTX 970, that I purchased at Best Buy as well, it was a big jump in performance. Been wanting a 1080 since its release, but seeing that they weren't readily available I had to wait for a bit. I'd recommend getting this card if you are in the market for a new GPU. This card can handle everything that you throw at it.

NVIDIA Founders Addition GTX 1080 GDDR5 8GB
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plugged this new card in to replace an old GTX 560 and the performance is astounding. The benchmark on this card is very high right out of the box without any modifications. Love the new card and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high end graphics card. Do not overpay for this card though! Make sure you buy it from BestBuy when it is ON SALE for regular price! The cripto miners killed the prices of cards for the last several years making most of them unavailable unless you want to pay 70% or more above normal retail.

Great Card For Gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried this card on many PC games. GTA V on highest setting runs at around 70-100 FPS, and screen recording runs perfectly, it does not even lower the Frame Rates. It runs very cool and it is very quiet. My next plan is to test out the VR gaming, my previous nvidia card GTX 470 lagged very bad playing VR. My latest card was a AMD R9-270X 4gb which ran hot and GTA V on medium settings ran at 30-50 FPS. This was a great buy, I hope my review helps anyone who is having second thoughts. Enjoy!

Works great, all games play better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded the Nvidia 960 card in my Dell Inspirion 8900 desktop. Everything was smooth in spite of the extra length of the video card. All of my games look and play much better now (Fallout 4, Tom Clancy Games, Battlefront II, etc). I highly recommend this card.

Sumptuous
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from an XFX R9 280 and couldn't be happier. Smooth, and level of detail significantly enhanced. Really a superb card and I like using native Nvidia software. If you buy the card, go to the Nvidia website and get the drivers. You can't go wrong.

AWESOME
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded the 960 card in my Dell XPS 8900 with this beast. Huge increase in framerates and levels of detail. Runs most games on ultra with no problem. Very quiet. Upgraded the PS also even though the stock one should have been able to handle it.

Wow!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to replace my GTX 970. This thing is amazing. Runs every game I have at full, ultra settings without a hiccup. Games like Fallout 4, Deus Ex, and such look fantastic. I have all settings maxed out and it never stutters or slows down, no matter how intense the action is on screen. I'm extremely impressed and couldn't be happier with the results from this card. Well worth the price.
