I know that most people will be looking for the gaming reviews, however, I am a 3D modeler and animator and rarely get to find a review that suits me. I use Autodesk Maya, Realflow, Mudbox, and 3D Photoshop among many other resource hog softwares and the first piece of hardware that falls weak for me is my GPU. Poly count and particles are taxing when the numbers are high and I often find myself using display layers when working in a scene. This severely limits my ability to see the entire scene or effect. So far, I have not reached this limit in the 3 to 4 weeks that I have owned this card and I am super excited about the possibilities! The price was very fair and I would most definitely suggest this to other 3D artists!!!

Listen up friends, this here card is worth your hard earned cash. There were times when I told myself that playing the lowest settings was definitely "meta" but I knew I was lying to myself. Somewhere deep in my darkened heart, I knew there was a strong desire to indulge in the life of the highest quality gaming. It was time. Once I purchased this card, I knew what had to be done. I played as many games as I could on the highest graphics settings and not even the slightest sign of weakness was shown from my new card; his green glow of confidence just shining through my cheap case like it was eating only an appetizer before a full four course meal. I have tried to run this thing into the ground and not even a hum has been returned. If you are reading this, its meant for you... Its your turn to let loose and buy yourself a card worthy of your time. Well, I had better get back to my card now... As they always say, "adios muchachos!"

I bought this card to replace the Nvidia GTX 770 that came installed in my son's ENVY Phoenix 810-150se. My son is trilled with the performance of this GTX 1080. He says that his clock speeds are about triple what he was getting with the 770 and that his system is actually running cooler with the new card. I am not a gamer so I do not no all the technical stats, but my son lives for gaming and says this card is the bomb.

If you're looking for the next generation of gaming graphics card, this is it. If you're playing at 1080p resolution or lower, on a single screen I would recommend the GTX 1070. But for 1440P up to 4K, this card handles games very well. It runs silent, it is power efficient, and we'll worth the price tag.

The Nvidia GTX 1080 is everything I ever wanted in a graphics card and more. Its quiet, keeps cooler, and performs admirably on full load!!! The gtx 1080 is quiet simply a beast, as it allows me to game in todays todays hottest games in 4k at 50hz to 60hz fps without a hitch. I just disable antialiasing in games cuz who really needs it at 4k resolution (the pixels are smaller). Get this card! Don't settle for less!!!

before buying this card, I had two GTX 780s in SLI, costing me around $600 for each card when I bought them back in 2013. one of those cards recently died, so I decided to pick up the 1080 on a whim. I can honestly say that this card performs way better than both of those cards put together, and for around the price of just one of them. 10/10 would recommend

Upgraded from a GTX 970 and the graphical jump is huge! I mainly bought it because the 970 just wasnt cutting it for VR. But I also have a 4K TV and this card runs anything I throw at it in 4K 60fps. Some graphically intense games such as The Witcher 3 can run maxed out in 4K at 30fps but must be tweaked a lil to hit the 60fps mark. And this thing never breaks a sweat and the temps haven't even went past 74 degrees! My 970 was constantly in the 80-84 degree range. I can say that I am extremely satisfied with the card.

I bought the 1080 for the explicit purpose of creating a virtual reality ready machine. I have not yet bought a VR headset, but this GPU has allowed me to run everything with the highest visual settings without sacrificing performance. My only complaint is the single HDMI port. Most of the ports are Display Ports but with an HDMI/Display Port adapter (which was reasonably priced at Best Buy) all my monitors have worked well. There are other 1080s with moderately better performance, but this one is worth the money.
