I got this to help my nephew upgrade his starter gaming rig. He was getting by with a 2gb video card. After helping him install this bad boy, he could throw any game he wanted at it, at highest specs and it was astounding in quality and detail. This is not a very cheap card nor petite, but if you have the room (and extra 8pin power from your power supply), and the means to afford this, it will not disappoint. We also wanted to get this one as it is ready for full VR, if or when he is ready to invest in that tech. Future ready card for a few years at least.

I bought this card to replace the Nvidia GTX 770 that came installed in my son's ENVY Phoenix 810-150se. My son is trilled with the performance of this GTX 1080. He says that his clock speeds are about triple what he was getting with the 770 and that his system is actually running cooler with the new card. I am not a gamer so I do not no all the technical stats, but my son lives for gaming and says this card is the bomb.

I bought this card a couple months ago and decided to wait to make a honest review on it. I was in process of building a new gaming rig and this card has done a amazing job keeping up. I have used it in both 1080p and 4K it handles 1080p without even breaking a sweat at ultra settings on every game I have thrown at it. It handles 4K well but I would suggest getting the 1080Ti if you need serious FPS output. Overall I am beyond happy with this purchase and I would recommend this card all day long!

I have had the 1080 for 4 months and it has worked great. I mostly got the card to go with my Oculus Rift. I can play any game on the oculus with high+ settings and get that desired 90fps.

I’ve always hated founders editions cards, but now that I have once, it actually gave me better temperatures than I expected. This card is usually best for small cases where the room isn’t good enough for recurring airflow, or big cases. I like to crank my fans up to proper levels to get great cooling, the internal fan isn’t super loud, but it’s worth the trade off of much better cooling and overclocking than letting the card overheat.

Doing a small for factor build and a blower card was really the only option that would keep cool. Runs great and was a big upgrade for me!

This is currently the best single slot Nvidia card on the market. I was concerned whether or not it would even be worth it upgrading from a 980 SLI setup. On the performance end it was more than evident that the 1080 smoked the 980s. Loading times are a few times faster, low end fps higher and more consistent, high end fps sticks at 60 in most cases. Battlefield 1 @ 4k has no trouble holding 60 fps. Great card.

Upgraded from a GTX 970 and the graphical jump is huge! I mainly bought it because the 970 just wasnt cutting it for VR. But I also have a 4K TV and this card runs anything I throw at it in 4K 60fps. Some graphically intense games such as The Witcher 3 can run maxed out in 4K at 30fps but must be tweaked a lil to hit the 60fps mark. And this thing never breaks a sweat and the temps haven't even went past 74 degrees! My 970 was constantly in the 80-84 degree range. I can say that I am extremely satisfied with the card.

I recently built a new PC and was on the fence about what video card to purchase. I decided on the Nvidia GTX 1080 because I could play all my games on high settings and at 60 frames per second. The packaging for this card is very nice. The setup was also very simple. As long as you have two adjacent PCI-Express slots on your motherboard, you are good to go!

I bought this to replace an AMD R290X crossfire setup. Uses seriously 2/3rds less power and still hammers through anything I throw at it. Definitely recommended for anyone running 1440p or higher. However, if you aren't in a hurry you might want to wait until the 1080 Ti comes out in a few months. Also, not the best for mining cryptos. I'd recommend AMD cards for that.

Unfortunately I paid $750 for this before the 1080 Ti came out and the price dropped. Great card, good for SLI. Poor AMD can't keep up.

I love the nvidia series graphics cards and this card definitely does not disappoint. Ive done plenty of research the founders edition may run a little hotter than an open air card but produces the same results. I actually prefer having the founders edition anyways. Great price, definitely would recommend to a friend!

This card is overkill for 1080p gaming this card can do 4K great. But its sweet spot is 1440p with a high hertz monitor.

If I was able to, my review would just be a picture of someone with their jaw on the floor. The product is amazing in all aspects. Outperformed all of my expectations. I thought the extra $100 for the founders edition at launch was a bit much, but I do not regret it in the slightest. If you're a gamer, this is a must-have upgrade.

I waited a long time for the NVIDIA pascal video cards to be released and boy am I glad I waited. I needed this card to upgrade my flight simulation computer to work well with my recently purchased Oculus Rift VR headset. The NVIDIA Founders edition card doesn't disappoint and it's everything I'd hoped for...well worth the purchase price.
