Poor Performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is prone to heating up quickly, and its thermal solution is causing it to stay at high temperatures (averaging around 80c-85c the latter causing the fans to run at 4500 RPM.) I have had one already RMA'ed, which dealing with Nvidia was an absolute nightmare and I won't ever buy a product from them as a manufacturer again. Doing thorough testing finding the replacement is having the same issue, (a year and a half old game causing temps to reach to 80c, mid-level 3Dmark Benchmarks pushing it to 80c as well, and unable to complete the stability test Nvidia asked me to run on the first card.) Go with an EVGA or ASUS so if at least you do have issues with the GPU, you're working with a company that is willing to take care of their customers, Nvidia isn't.

Great performance but expensive...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first experience buying a desktop-class GPU and overall I am satisfied with the performance. I bought the RTX 2070 and decided to return it and got 2080 instead. I can play Witcher 3 at 4K resolution and gets 40-50 fps on mixed high/ultra settings. This performance is based on an eGPU setup, so a desktop setup will be about 20% higher. The big drawback of this card is the price, which is still hard to swallow. However, for 4K gaming, this or 2080 Ti is the only option.

Card died after 3 months of use
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the card back in may 2019 and after 3 months the card started having massive frame drops and now every time i try to play a game it is just constant choppiness and drops to 20 frames every other second. right now having to use my old 1060 and it works a million times better than the 2080 luckily i got the warranty.

Great GPU upgrade.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a strix 1070 oc(which is an awesome gpu for 2k by the way) and can definitely tell an increased rate of performance with the 2080. Before I was only able to run 2k resolution on my 4k 60HZ monitor with max settings. Now I can just about run everything in 4K I play at 60 fps and max settings. The gameplay is so much more smooth. Graphics quality has certainly improved.

Premium build/Power
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.firs of, this thing is a beast! Its made from very sturdy materials and is almost all metal on the outside. Install is a breeze for anyone and its actually very efficient. im going to lis some pros and cons for the GPU. Pros: Made well Looks nice power Efficient Powerfull, can run most games above 60fps easily on max settings in 1080p Cons: i dont have many cons but heres a few Fans at idle can be loud due to the FE version running at 40% speed at idle. Can get a little hot if cooling inst sufficient price, i feel like it can be a little cheaper since the mining ,market is slowed down. Overall, im very happy with my purchase of this GPU, i will be using it for years to come.

Don't waste your money!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as upgrade from GTX 1070. This was not a better graphics card! Not impressed at all! Plus, supposed to get 2 free games...good luck getting those-it's a big hassle through 3rd party vendors.

This is a great video card for BF1!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this video card! I moved up from a GTX980ti overclocked with water cooling, to this RTX2080, and OMG what a difference! I can finally turn on G-Sync and see my 4K 21:9 monitor working at 100HZ on all the highest settings on BF1! The detail is truly amazing. Super smooth video on everything with this card, using my i7-7700K processor running at 5ghz with 32gb of ram. No more loud fans turning on when the video display is very demanding, this new RTX2080 is very quiet. I don't think it's really necessary to spend $1200 on the Ti version right now, this RTX2080 will play all the current games at 4K with decently high frame rates. Keep in mind that the $1200 version will be on sale for $800 in a few months for sure ;)

Insane performance while offering neat RTX demos
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought this card to have 1080 Ti equivalent performance and am sticking with it for the ray tracing capabilities soon coming to Minecraft and other titles. To give an idea, I am running this card onto a 1440p configuration up to 144Hz, and am getting at bare minimum 90 fps across all titles I have played so far. It's no 2080 Ti, but it is still a monster card without spending 4 digits.

A powerful but expensive GPU
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this GPU after upgrading to a 1440p / 144hz Acer Predator monitor. Can't wait for games to come out that utilize ray tracing (more realistic lighting) and DLSS (machine learning meant to maximize FPS in games). If you're looking for a more powerful GPU and don't care about ray tracing or DLSS, this card is roughly equivalent in performance to the GTX 1080 Ti.

Great for gaming!

Great card, but expensive.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a 1080 to a 2080, and there is a definite increase in frame rate while running increased graphics settings. I use a 1440p monitor, and had used nVidia’s DSR to shrink 4K down to 2k. The 1080 was able to do that for Destiny 2: Forsaken at a stable 60fps with everything maxed out. With the 2080 I’m pushing over 100 FPS with DSR. While running in native 1440p, my frames went from 100-144 with the 1080 to 144++++ with the 2080. It’ll only get better with DLSS being released right around the corner.

Very little you can not do
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card has horsepower and is not grossly overpriced. This being one of the top end RTX card is find as a founders card and one of the first pressings of a RTX. if you can afford a TI then by all means but this card should be fine to play almost anything and get over 80 to 90 FPS on the low end.

Pretty awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I got this to go with an Alienware laptop running through the amp. I was just playing final fantasy xv on max everything running around 85 frames a second on a laptop I can only imagine how amazing this thing most be on a desktop.

Good Card
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad upgrade from a 980ti. Not a good upgrade if you have a 1080ti. Would suggest getting this card if you have 1070 or less.

Awesome card!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just upgraded to the RTX 2080 from a GTX 970. What an upgrade and I also bought a Samsung 4K monitor on sale at BestBuy for $299. Runs Shadow of the tomb raider flawlessly at 4K everything maxed out. Gave my 9 year old rig some life :)

Benchmarks Aren't Real Performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of 3 different Benchmarks, this upped my computer's score by a full 20% across the board...but in real performance? It's a joke. The best example I can give that gets straight to the point is that BattleField 1 runs WORSE on this 2080 than it did on my 1080. Not a 1080ti, a normal EVGA 1080. So...take that however you will. I used to never get less than 60 frames, now this game will hit a solid 20 on half the maps, and that's with lower settings than I used for my 1080. I tried the same settings and the game would run amazingly 70% of the time, then hit that 'lovely' 40 or below fps. 1080 never had that issue.

RTX 2080 Faulty after 2-3 months!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Return warranty very poor considering a $800 item. This video card crashes from time to time but I could get by since it didn't happen to often and it started after the return period was over (of course it did) but then I was very excited to play Anthem but no no no, the cards struggles across the board to get decent frame rate even with LOW settings nothing changes while my old GTX 1070 handles the game on ultra flawlessly. Now Best Buy wont take back the card not even for a replacement as a courtesy considering this is a $800 card!! I guess when you buy at best buy you are taking a gamble then. I'd choose another merchant if I knew the poor return period before hand...

I've bought and returned 2.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the first one and it wouldn't play half my games, perhaps it was the driver (first release), but I returned it. I bought the second one 2 weeks later (new driver) worked fine, still wouldn't play crysis, and it sent my MB and comp into a fritz within the 1st month. I returned it. I'm going to try my luck with a 3 fan set up from a different manufacturer b/c why not.
