Q: QuestionShould i buy this or wait for the 2080 ti to restock? Building first computer. Scares me that the 1080ti is performing similar or better than the 2080
Asked by Dan806.
- A:Answer I think it depends on your budget, and how much your willing to jump into the early adopter crowd. I purchased the 2080 and it has been performing very well. I'm very excited about the ray tracing capabilities, but being so early, there's not much to judge with it. I upgraded from a 1070, and there is quite a leap in performance from that. Especially in VR (I use an Oculus Rift). I think the decision really just comes down to if you're willing to spend the extra money for more performance, wait for the TI. If you want excellent performance with the added benefit of raytracing, for about the same price as the 1080ti, go for the 2080.
