yes, this should fit, but you may want to invest in a more powerful power supply. It recommends a 650w.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably... From what I've been able to see, that machine comes with a GTX-1070 card which, I assume, you are replacing. That card uses an ATX dual slot bracket which is the same as the RTX-2080 - so card width is not an issue. The real question is card length. I've been unable to determine how long the GTX-1070 HP that uses is. If that card uses a 3 fan cooling design, I'd say the new RTX-2080 is almost certainly shorter and will fit with no problem. Open up the case and have a look. If your old card is longer than 10.6 inches, you'll have no problem getting that new card to fit. Perhaps a bigger concern is your power supply. It looks like the stock PSU used by HP on that machine is rated at 500W. Nvidia recommends a power supply with a minimum of 650W for this card. It must also have two power connectors available; one 6 pin and one 8 pin. You might want to shop for a replacement PSU first.
