Upgraded to the Nvidia from the Amazon firestick and this was a excellent choice. This device works flawlessly!

This is hands down the best streamer on the market.
It only loses one star because I'd like it to have an option for WiFi control with the Harmony Hub Instead of just Bluetooth.

Hands down best streaming device out there. Only reason it gets 5 stars is the cursed "Netflix" button. That button is sensitive and the largest button on the remote. Everytime you accidentally graze it, it interrupts what you are watching and opens up Netflix. It is so annoying that it drops the entire ownership experience down a star. Wouldn't be so bad if Nvidia would listen to all the customer complaints about it and send an update where it can be disabled in the settings.

The Shield is one of the nicer streaming TV boxes with a lot of flexibility running Android TV. The interface is simple and clean although I still prefer Apple TV because it just works and requires less tinkering. I bought this primarily to use in an RV because it’s one of very few devices that can run a Plex media server and player on the same device. It does that well with or without an internet connection so long as you have either a router for local LAN or set fixed IP address on the Shield. If I’m in a place with internet or a hotspot I have full access to all Shield apps.

The Nvidia Shield TV is the best Android based streaming and gaming device on the market today. I bought my first one in 2015 and have tried many other varieties of android boxes on my other TV's since then. All of the others fall short in one way or another. Nvidia has excellent support and stands behind the product. This recent purchase was one for my son as the one I bought in 2015 is still going strong with daily use.

I've typically been a proponent of Roku systems. Now that Roku isn't supporting some of the newer streaming services, I decided to try a different box. Overall, the system is very quick and responsive. It handles everything with ease. The only thing I wish it has was a headset port in the remote, but you can connect a pair of wireless headphones, but my Senniheiser headphones don't pair well with this device. I have to un-pair and re-pair them every time. After research, I found that this device is very picky with the headphones you connect via bluetooth. All in all, this is a very solid device and I'm happy with my purchase.
