There is no roadmap from Nvidia to have any significant updates in the future. That is understandable for an old device, but not having security updates is very concerning. I love the device nonetheless and it's the best in market to overhaul an old boring TV.

Great Product

I was using a Tivo Stream 4k and was seeing freeze-ups on certain streaming apps, and would have to stop the apps or even reboot the device to resume. The NVIDIA Shield Pro has worked flawlessly on those same apps. I also like that it has a built-in gigabit ethernet port and two USB ports. Definitely pricey compared to other players but worth it to me for the reliability and stability.
