Great device! I had trouble getting the proper sound from Plex using the builtin apps on my TV and ARC to my receiver. Pled needed to transcode them to formats supported by the TV app. The Shield is able to pass through all the sound formats I wanted when connected directly to the receiver producing better fidelity and lower computing requirements on the plex server.

Excellent product, easy to use. Set up was easy too. streaming device just like apple tv.

The streaming quality is great, lots of apps. A bit pricey that's why the 4 stars, it has more features than I take advantage of but it's a great device.

I like this better than Roku. I only use it for streaming, so i can't speak to the gaming aspect of it. I see a lot of people complain about the amount of real estate the ads take up on the home screen, but since you can set up your favorite apps to use, this doesn't really bother me.

Never want to live with out this entertainment in a box. Haven't had one hiccup yet.

the nvidia shield is the smartest entertainment upgrade available for television. With or without a smart TV this little box gets you access to everything From all the latest computer title games to any app out there for tv. And its small and stylish. I cut the cord and havent looked back. This is the last one and I have had my 1st one for 5 years.. still going strong. Whole house is now hooked up with nvidia.
