I bought this to replace an aging Fire TV Gen 1. We are bought into the Google infrastructure, and this was a welcome addition to it. It even works as a cast device for Spotify. It can be controlled by a wireless keyboard via a USB dongle, and I also have a Flirc device connected to it to control it with my Logitech Harmony Elite remote (I don't have a Harmony Hub or it would have been even easier.)

Great picture and provides multiple apps. Definitely worth the price.

We used the Firestick for years and this is defiantly an upgrade for our house.

The TV shield pro is a lot nicer than the fire Stick and other media devices because it has a game processor built in and it is very fast

I've finally found a device that can stream 4k and decode and pass through Atmos audio streams. The interface is snappy. Much better than my new 85 inch Sony tv. The remote is simple with multiple functions per button. I should've gotten this a long time ago. Best buy is a joke tho. Delays in shipping, then begging for reviews with 25 best buy points. Yay 50 cents. What can I buy with that at best buy?

No more roku or apple tv for me this thing does it all and is soooo much faster

This is the only way to go. This box along with the ease of customization ive done has saved me tons of money. Ive added lots of extra apps for regular TV and movies. Love it. I now have three in my home.

When I purchased this I only had an 1080p tv with ARC and using the plex app on the tv I wasn't getting Atmos/DTS-HD audio to my Denon receiver. The Shield fixed that. The Shield is networked on my LAN, with its Plex client accessing my Plex server on my pc. Shield ouputs Atmos/DTS-HD to Denon receiver which outputs the video untouched to tv. Works perfectly as it says it will. Great product.

If you have a home theater, with good surround system this, is for you. If you are just on a tv with a soundbar, you are good with a firestick. Low end bass, and mids sound way clearer with this setup, not to mention the 4k upscaling. This thing is a beast. I really like the remote as well, but I dont use it, as I have a harmony. worth the money!
